[The Night Of The Play]

"That was amazing!" Laura exclaims, walking with me as we exit the MPR.

"I know! I'm proud of you. You overcame your stage fright." I say, swinging our hands.

"Thank you. I hope Rocky isn't mad at you for stealing his role." Laura sighs.

"I don't think he will." I shrug.

"ROSS!" I hear Rocky exclaim as I shut the front door.

I put my finger to my lips and Laura nods as we quietly walk upstairs to my room and shut the door.

"Okay, so maybe he would be mad." I bite my lip.

"I hope he will cool his temper by tomorrow, hopefully." Laura smiles slightly.

"Well, may as well sleep. I'm tired!" I yawn, plopping down on my bed.

Laura lays down on my arm and closes her eyes.

"Night Ross."

"Night Laura."

[The Next Morning]

"Laura, you're acting so strange. You aren't talking as much as you usually do. Is something wrong?" I ask.

She nods.

"Well, what's wrong?" I press.

She sighs, "Riker...He texted me before we had to perform last night."

I raise my eyebrows, "Why didn't you tell me earlier? Let me see what he said."

She takes her phone out and gives it to me.

I scan the text further.

I widen my eyes, "Laura, the first letters of every sentence is bold. It says, 'Help Me!"

Laura snatches the phone from my hand and reads it.

"It does! But, why is he in trouble?" Laura asks.

"I don't know. But, I fear that this is a trick."

Laura agrees, "So do I."

An idea pops into my head, "Hey! I wanna take you somewhere."

Laura smiles, "Okay, where?"

"It's a surprise."

Laura folds her arms, "You know I hate surprises."

"Well, this one has to stay a surprise." I smirk.
