( Hey everyone! Okay, so this is asically a continuation of my last chapter. I thought of this not too long ago. I thought it could be a little surprising. ATTENTION: I DON'T OWN PERCY JACKSON OR THE SERIES!)
Annabeth's POV:
Right when Percy and I went inside, everyone stared at us. But it wasn't bad or anything. Some people asked," Are you Percy's girlfriend?" Others said," That's Percy's girlfriend? She's so pretty!" Percy looked at me with his stunning ocean green eyes, and I couldn't help but blush. And Percy gave me one of his crooked smiles, which made me blush even more!
Percy led me to the table, where all of the food laid there, just waiting to be eaten. "Okay everyone, it's time to eat!" Sally announced. All of the guests rushed to get plates and started to grab food like they haven't eaten in months. i just grabbed turkey and mashed potatoes. I still feel a little bad when I told my dad about staying.
-----A few days ago-----
"Hey Annabeth!" my dad said. I held my cell phone tight, nervous about what I was about to tell him. Frederick Chase asked," So are you ready for San Franciso?" A lump formed in my throat," Dad I have to tell you something." "Is this about Percy?" my dad wondered. I paused for a minute, trying to force the words to come out.
"Dad, I.....can't go to San Francisco," I blurted out. I waited for my dad to reply, but he wouldn't answer. "Look, I'm sorry dad. But I want to spend some more time with Percy. Ever since we started dating, I feel drawn to him. I can't leave his side." It was quiet for a minute. Then I heard him sigh,"It's okay Annabeth. I understand." I couldn't help but tear up a little bit. "Thanks dad!" "No problem Annabeth. But you need to promise me something," my dad explained. "What is it?" I thought. "Since you won't be spending time with us right now, promise me you'll come over on Christmas."
I was shocked. Sure, I owe him, but then Percy would spend Christmas without me. But if I didn't go, it would be the other way around! I paused for a moment, racking my brain for the answer, I finally answered," Fine, I'll go. I guess I kinda owe you one." I heard my dad sigh with relief," Thanks. Okay I have to go. Bye!" "Okay, bye dad," I said weakly. I hung up the phone, trying to think about how to tell Percy.
-----Present Day-----
After eating, Percy and I hung out in the room, "playing" around. *cough, making out, cough* Then we heard," Percy Annabeth, we have something to tell everyone!" We walked to the living room, hand in hand, wondering why they called us. Sally and Paul stood in front of everyone, smiling from ear to ear.
This is going to be good, I thought. Sally cleared her throat," Hello everyone! Okay, for starters, thank you for coming here tonight." Paul said," Yeah, it's been great to see all of you tonight. Now Sally and I have some great news." They both looked at each other and smiled.
"Okay, so as you know, we have been dating for some time, and we're about to get married," Sally explained. Paul continued," And we are having a wonderful time together. And it's time to reveal our little secret."Paul looked at Sally, and nodded. Sally opened her mouth and smiled," I'm pregnant!"
