Band Nerd Confessions...

Ok, I think we all have some band confessions....so, I'll share with you some of mine. (These are in no particular order)

1. When I first saw my trumpet (who is silver), my thoughts were, I thought trumpets were gold???

2. The first time I opened my trumpet case, I opened it upside-down. 😒😕😑. I just shut the case, latched it, flipped it over, and opened it back up again.

3. Admit it, we've all played air trumpet with six to eight fingers at some point of our lives.

4. I once called ff forte forte on accident. Mom laughed at me.

5. We have also probably all once tried to outplay someone in our section, even if it was the leader.....

6. My friends and I have given other band kids nicknames behind their backs....

7. I've cleaned a mug in the band hall's kitchen/library with a tuba valve brush...

8. I've played: clarinet with a trumpet mouthpiece, trombone with a trumpet mouthpiece, and a tuba with a trumpet mouthpiece.

9. I've stuck an arm down a tuba bell while Jaws (the person, not the song) was playing.

10. I've locked people in the instrument room countless times (I almost put instrument tomb, lol.) Spunkyhorse14

11. I've had lightsaber fights in the band hall

12. I've smuggled advanced band music.

13. I've skipped class by going to band hall.

14. My friends and I have watched PG-13 movies in band hall during lunch; the only class you don't need permission to do because the office probably doesn't even know the band director is playing them. It's mainly movies like Star Wars and Marvel with the action/violence.

15. I've touched the band director's conducting wand.

16. I've bottle-flipped a straight mute. (It's actually really fun. Do it sometime.)

17. I've punched an Advanced Band member. ("But Mom! He punched me first!" It was only playfully)

18. I've thrown stuff in the band hall

19. I've screamed in the band hall

20. And....I've played first trumpet at stuff that I'm normally second trumpet at. (Ex: Seven nation army. I'm good enough to play the first trumpet parts)
