Chapter 11- Why So Caring?

          "He is so caring which makes him cute and by looks he is handsome so to sum everything up: he is Gorgeous!" Rhea stated, sitting on my counter in my office.

          I chuckled and started typing on the laptop, totally ignoring what she said. "But he cares for you."

          "And?"

"I wish I find someone who cares about me too."

"Okay," I said as I went back to typing.

A whole month passed by so quickly, it almost seemed like just yesterday I was saying goodbye to mom.

"He is just something else. Like if I were to be his parent, I'd be proud to say that I have raised a beautiful son."

"You're overly dramatic."

"Pss... I ain't, those girls in our offices are. They are always talking about either Chase or Jeremy. I mean who could blame them, right?"

I was typing the next most important tender that Chase and I are working on. He told me to type up all the details about the owners and competitors.

"After listening to those dumb girls talk, I also started wondering how good they are in bed?"

"Now I am officially ignoring you."

"Not that you weren't earlier but it's just a curious question. By the way you were at his house for a night, how was he?"

"Rhea he isn't that type of guy, at least not with me."

"What type of guy?"

"The one who takes the girl to his bedroom to have sex. He is respectful. He isn't one of those snobby rich brats. He let me stay over at his house when I was in my worst condition and I am grateful to him. He didn't take advantage of me instead he helped me."

"Well that's why he is perfect for you! You want a loyal guy, I mean who doesn't, right? But he is the one you would go for."

"He is my boss and that type of relationship is not something I approve and either way I don't want a guy. I have to leave now," I said, standing up and leaving the room.

Last month Rhea told me about the incident that happened with the guy who tried to kill her. He is their dad's old friend who apparently is now an enemy. She told me how the family feud has been going on for a long time now and he has had his attempts to kill her before but her brother always saves her.

Her brother is also here with her and he is a doctor. She told me so much about him, he sounded like a decent guy who cares for his little sister. The party was also amazing but at times I kept remembering mom. Chase supported and helped me get through my bad state.

I headed upstairs to his office, he was sitting and talking with a man along with a woman and a kid. I was about to knock but they looked pretty serious so I decided not to knock and leave.

"Olive?" Someone called out to me. I turned my head and saw Chase poking his head out of the room.

"Come on in," he said.

"I can come by later if you are busy," I replied, now completely turning to face him.

"I'm not busy and I want you to meet someone," he said, pulling me by my hand into the room.

I entered the room as their eyes turned to me. The woman was smiling and i heard the baby cooing.

"This is-" Chase started but the lady interrupted by saying, "Olive!"

I was confused but asked a smile. "I am Jessica!" She introduced herself, enthusiastically. "This is my husband Chris," she said, pointing towards the man standing next to her. I smiled as he smiled back. "And this little one here is Brian," she said, holding the baby.

          "Chris is my older brother," Chase said and I smiled at him.

"It's amazing to finally meet you Olive, I have heard so much about you," she complied, giving Chris a small nod.

"I hope it's all good," I smiled as they chuckled.

"Well Chase has nothing negative to say about you," she said as she looked at Chase and he was red.

"I feel like that was a good introduction so please can you guys leave? I need to get some work done now," Chase told them as they nodded.

"Fine we'll leave now. Again it was a pleasure meeting you Olive," she stated.

"The pleasure is all mine," I replied as they left.

"Don't mind them, they are really silly," Chase said as he pulled a chair for me and placed it next to his. "Come sit."

I handed him all the files and after couple of hours we finished everything and then we were waiting for the next step which was the meeting.

The Buros industries was very popular industry in Paris. If we get this deal then it will be the most amazing thing in life for me and especially for Chase. He is considering this project to make billions and billions of pounds. I hope we get the deal.

          "Well now we just wait and see what happens," Chase said.

          Suddenly my phone started ringing and so I picked up. "Hello?"

          "Hey Olive?" Some lady from the other line and I figured that it was Sydney.

"I need to take this, excuse me," I said as I left the room. "Why did you call, Sydney?" I asked.

"Olive Harry uh- Harry started it again," that's all she had to say for me to understand.

Oh dear lord, not this again. "How many days?" I asked.

"It was just a little before Rosalinda's death but after her passing away, it's constantly happening 24/7," she answered.

"I'll try to come, bye," I cut the call before she could say anything more.

          Mom forgave Dad for all the things he had done to her. She gave him divorce because he wanted it. Mom let him, the love of her life, go just because he wasn't happy with her. Mom made so many sacrifices for all of us.

          "I miss you Mom," I said to myself as a tear rolled down my cheek and I wiped it away. I didn't know but Chase was standing right behind me and he everything I said.
