" There are no words to express the abyss between isolation and having one ally. It may be conceded to the mathematician that four is twice two. But two is not twice one; two is two thousand times one. "

-G.K Chesterton

The next morning, Dr. Park treated the bruises on Nana's wrists but acted as if nothing had happened last night. When she asked him if something was wrong, he ignored her. It was apparent that something had happened to him, but she didn't press any further.

Not that she would believe anything that would leave his lips, now.

The only exchange they had on that day was him asking her if she felt physically okay and gave her some pain killer. Then, he instantly left.

That's why Nana wasn't surprised to see the person who visited her the following day.

" It had been a while, Ms. Nana. It's a pleasure to see you again. " Greeted the young man.

" I wish I could say the same to you, Dr. Jin, but as you can see, I'm not really in the mood. " She snapped back.

He chuckled before looking around the room. " It's an empty and plain room..." He pointed out.

" Of course, I can only thank the one who put me here. " She pointed. " But what could bring you in my plain, and boring castle? "

" Hm? " He tore his eyes away from the window to look back at the young woman. " Ah, I came to give you good news. "

She scowled, " And what might that be? "

The man grinned, " I was asked to become your psychologist. I will be taking care of you from now on. "

With widened eyes, Nana asked, " What do you mean? I thought that Dr. Park was the one who had to take care of my situation. "

Dr. Jin chuckled. " That was before. Besides, I was supposed to be the one to take care of you in the first place. "

He did have a point, but she was still confused. Why would they abruptly want to change roles? Wait- Was this the reason for the change of behavior of Park Jimin?

" Very well, since you are my psychologist now. Could you tell me why was I being transferred here? "

The man uncomfortably rubbed his neck as he replied, " I could if I knew the answer myself. "

" So, even you don't know? " She asked.

He shook his head, which frustrated the young woman. Either he was lying, or he really didn't know anything. She looked back at him and noticed that he had been standing in front of her since he got here.

" Why are you standing there, Dr. Jin? Please take a seat beside me, as you can see there are no chairs and you can't keep standing there. "

He smiled and answered, " That's very nice of you, but I'm sorry I don't think I have much time left. I solely came to deliver you that news. "

She nodded her head, " That's fine. "

He looked over his watch and frowned before he looked back at her. " I will come back to see you after lunch, so we can talk about how our therapy session will follow. " The woman nodded her head, and he smiled at her before leaving the room.

With a loud sigh, Nana let her back hit the mattress and looked at the ceiling. All these modifications, she thought. Was her lost memory that important to lead her in such situations? What did she even forget in the first place?
