The man stared at an old picture on his phone before one of his fellow colleagues suddenly laid a file on his desk. His tired eyes trailed from the document to officer Lee. He put his phone away and asked as he stared at pictures and records. " What is that? "

" New evidence. " Quietly muttered the man so no one would hear him except the one beside him.

Photos of Kang Sejun with another man were scattered in front of the dark-haired male.

" How did you get those? " He then asked.

" It doesn't matter, but don't you notice something?"

Officer Kim stared again at the pictures until something caught his eyes, " Isn't that...? "

The other man nodded, " That's Park Jinyoung. The one with the runaway patient. " He laid another document on the table. " I asked a junior to do some research on him, and I found something that bugs me. "

" What is it? " Asked officer Kim.

The man looked around and made a sign to the other one to follow him. They both walked out of their office, out of any curious eyes. Then, officer Lee proceeded to explain.

" First, don't say anything about what I'm about to tell you to anyone. " The man nodded, " Even though Kang Sejun's case is closed, I've been investigating on my own. " He approached his colleagues and whispered. " And I've found many things that the higher-ups seem to be hiding from us. "

The officer then left the scene of nothing that had happened while officer Kim watched his silhouette disappear inside the police officer.

A child's cry was resonating in the darkness. Her body trembled in fear while her hands were covered in blood. Her mind, in pure chaos, made her unable to think straight. Her voice was shaking despite her effort to control it.

She was broken.
