The alien prisoners smiled warmly at the sweet little children that were placed in the cell with them.

One of  the witch's experiments they were, but their delightful personalities drew them in.

The eldest prisoner, an elderly lady, clapped her hands as the two twins danced for her.

One was slightly shorter, with a more solemn face and a ponytail of little curls. She carried herself with an air of sophistication.

The other one was taller, with a rounder, brighter, more boyish face. She had long loose waves and an enthusiastic grin. This one seemed to be more rambunctious than her twin sister.

The elderly lady laughed.
"Such sweet baby girls!", she said happily.

The smaller twin smiled, but the taller one's grin quickly vanished, replaced by a bitter look.

"I'm not a girl!", she said defensively. Tears welled up in her eyes from distress.

"Oh I'm sorry!", the lady apologized, "You just have a very feminine face! I didn't mean to cause you any trouble."

The small child grinned again, wiping the tears from her eyes.

"It's okay!"
