Skipper saw Lizmira in the distance.

But to her astonishment, Lizmira did not have the children.

Skipper watched her closely, clutching her necklace in her hands.
The entire city was in chaotic fear because of the "shadow girl".
Once Skipper had scared them enough, she went into an alley and returned back to her normal form, scaling the side of a building to escape.

Now she was on top of a taxi, watching Lizmira's every move.

The Jaspanian seemed to be panicking. Her blue eyes were wide with alarm, and she was shouting.

"Here you go-"

Skipper jumped at the sudden voice.

Hunk grabbed her arm.

"Sorry sweetie", he apologized, "You left this with me, remember?"
He handed her back her vest.

Skipper slipped it on over her tank top.

"The kids are missing."

Hunk's jaw dropped.
"Are you sure?", he asked worriedly, "Are you absolutely positive?!"

She cut her eyes at him and gave him a look that said she was deathly serious.

Shiro looked at Lance.

"She still hasn't said anything?"

Lance gazed sadly at the girl sitting on the bench in front of a Walgreens.

"No. She hasn't", Lance admitted.

Shiro felt bad for both of them. Whatever Starlin saw must have really struck a nerve. And when Starlin was hurting, Lance was too. She wouldn't even talk to him.

What really put Shiro at odds was how creepily statue-like Starlin looked. And the little bundle of bandages in her arms.

It was a kid. He was barely alive when Starlin brought him to the drugstore. Luckily, she healed him in time and wrapped him in bandages from head to toe.

"What are we going to do about the child?", Lance asked quietly.

"I'm keeping him."

Starlin had suddenly spoke.

Lance quickly went to her side.
"Are you sure? I mean you're sixteen, and a child is-"

Starlin's head snapped towards him. She glared at him, her eyes watering with emotion.

"He has no mother now", she said, "And his father is dead. I'm keeping him, and that is my final choice!"

Lance's eyes widened at her outburst.

"Okay. We'll keep him."

Starlin's gaze softened.

"We?"

"I'm not letting you raise a kid by yourself. If we're keeping him, we're doing it together."

Lance pressed his forehead against Starlin's.

"You two are cute."

"Shiro, that's embarrassing-"
