They found the city's records and looked at the files for foster children.

Seattle Hospital for the Mentally Ill.

That was their objective.

Now back on their way to their meeting location, Kipper hummed quietly next to Pidge.

Now was Pidge's chance.

What was the harm in asking?

"You're a girl, aren't you Kipper?"

He saw Kipper tense up for a second.
The hybrid kept walking.

"Kipper?"

"I didn't hear you", the Hispanic boy stated abruptly.

"Are you a girl?"

Kipper began to walk faster, shoving his hands in his pockets and bracing against the rain.

Pidge couldn't see his expression, but he was waking pretty fast. He jogged just to catch up to Kipper.

Kipper stopped down an alley.
Hands still in his pockets, he pressed his forehead to the wall.
His dark hair fell over his eyes.

"Kipper?", Pidge asked cautiously.

I'm obviously bothering him...

"I'm not a girl", Kipper hissed threateningly, his face still facing the wall.

The Paladin never noticed the swarming black smoke menacingly surrounding Kipper's feet.

"Kip-", he pressed.

Big mistake.

A dark violet light covered Kipper's hand, and Pidge found himself lifted and slammed into the all behind him by an invisible force.

His heart pounded out of his chest.

Kipper slowly strode towards him, eyes a shade of a pale, menacing yellow. His skin was a dark violet-grey, and his silhouette faded in and out of the mist that surrounded him.

The hybrid looked purely demonic.

Skipper quietly munched on candy.

It was the greatest thing she'd ever tasted.

"Do you think I can, you know, go home?", Hunk asked forlornly beside her on the bench.
"I want to tell my mom I'm okay..."

Skipper held her boyfriend's hand in remorse.
"I'm sure we can see her before we leave", she said.

A flustered Shiro jogged up to them, with Lance and Starlin close behind him.

"I think I have an idea to where Delilah is", he said.
The Black Paladin handed Hunk a flyer.

Hunk's eyes widened.

"I guess that's where we go then."

I promised to take care of her.

Take care of her.

I will.

Forever.

Keith fumbled with the object in his pocket.

The object he stole from Diana Korraine's bedroom.

Forever.

Peter Brandon stared emotionlessly out of the car window.

It was one of the rare days when the nurses took him to the doctor outside of the mental institute.

Clouds.

He liked clouds.

He watched the clouds roll by.

Then something else rolled by.

A young woman with stormy grey hair zoomed in a wheelchair past the parked car. She was laughing, yet the dark-haired man behind her was yelling as he chased her down the sidewalk.

It looked like fun.

Peter Brandon teleported out of the locked vehicle.

I want fun, he thought, and followed the two strangers.
