Chapter 13: Koey/Jayla Collab

Next morning...

Kayla's POV:

I woke up on the couch, on the opposite end of the couch as Connor, but only Connor. Not Danielle. I heard someone throwing up, in the bathroom. Uh-oh. I knocked on the bathroom door.

Danielle: What?

She had a croaky voice.

Kayla: Are you sick? Should I cancel the collab with Joey?

Danielle: Yes, I'm extremely sick. And don't cancel on Joey. Just go. Tell hi you love h-

She started throwing up again.

Kayla: Connor is still here if you need anything. I've gotta go as soon as I get ready, so bye.

There wasn't a response. I got ready, grabbed my stuff, and drove to Joey's.

Joey's POV:

Kayla knocked on the door. I answered, expecting Danielle there too.

Kayla: Sorry Joey! Dani is really sick, but I didn't wanna cancel on you, so I thought we could do it.

Joey: No problem!

Kayla: Ummm Joey, can I tell you something?

Joey: Of course you can Gurl!

Kayla: I'm falling in love with.....

Joey: With?

Was it me?!

Kayla: You....

Joey: I feel the same!

Kayla's POV:

Does he seriously feel the same?! Suddenly he kissed me, and it was like nothing else was going on in the world. When it ended Joey said "Shoooottt, that was good."

Kayla: Boyfriend and girlfriend?

Joey: Yes!!!

Kayla: Love you!

Joey: I love you too Kayla! Do you understand how long I've waited to be able to say that?

Kayla: Yes, I felt the same... For like 3 years.
