Chapter 5

Clarrise POV

"You said you'd explain. Explain," I shake a fist at him. When I'm angry, I must make fun of someone, or else I'll start crying, and my dad will kill me. So I decide to shake my fist.

Percy winces: scaredy-cat. "Clarrise,' he groans, "I was coming in the woods after you, and then I saw Rachel on the ground. That's the whole story. I swear."

Satisfied, I stop glaring at Percy. In fact, I feel so happy, I start to whistle "Somewhere over the rainbow."

"Um- Clarrise, are you ok?" asks Perce.

"Course," I answer. "Don't have a boyfriend, don't need to worry about anything."

I get interrupted by Rachel's hoarse voice:

"The daughter of wisdom and son of the sea,

Will meet the age of twenty three

They'll decide if Olympus shall burn,

Or if the world should end with a storm."

Prissy and I stare at each other in shock.

"Was that a prophecy?" asks Percy.

I nod, then gulp and say "Now I have something to worry about."

Annabeth POV

I quickly scan the area. Where could Percy be now, and why was he screaming in pain?

I run to Chris. "Did you see Percy?" I ask.

"No," he says sarcastically. "He wasn't the one who pushed me. REYNA was."

"Shut up," I tell him. "If Percy pushed you, it was for a good reason."

"You shut up, Wise girl," he snarls dangerously.

I back up from him. Why is he being such a jerk?

"Oh be quiet." I scold him, and turn around, just to bump into Grover.

His eyes looked panicky. "Annabeth, where's Percy?

"I was just about to ask you that very same question!" I grab Grover by the shoulders and shake him lightly. "He's hurt Grover, I know he is, I heard him scream! We- we have to go find him!"

Wincing, Grover says "Annabeth, calm down. We'll find him. But when we do, just don't go to Chiron-"

Suddenly, I remember little Daniela. "Oh, right, Daniela told me. We have to go to Chiron--" I realize what time it is! "Oh no! It's been so long since she told us! he must have been waiting forever!!!The second you find Percy, tell him to meet me at the Big House, ok?" I rush off and leave him gaping at me.

Percy POV

We walk out of the woods and bring Rachel to Chiron. On the way there, I see Annabeth.

"Percy!" She screams, her face red with anger. "Where in Hades have you been? Why did you push Chris? Oh hi Clarrisse. Oh my gods why is Rachel unconscious?! "

After screaming at me for a whole five minutes, I explained what happened, Clarrise and her cried a bit, and she reminded me that Chiron wanted to see us.

As I walked in, i couldn't help feeling nervous. I didn't tell Annabeth the prophecy, because she has enough to worry about. But is that why Chiron wants to see us?
