*3rd Persons POV*

It was silent in the boarding house, peaceful almost if not for the dead body that lay on the floor of the parlour. Damon was finally reganing consciousness and he slowly sat up, rubbing at his newly healed neck with a groaned.

He couldn't help but mentally hit himself. It's only been two days and he's already driven Ava to hate him.

He slowly stumbled up and turned to the door to see Elena standing in the doorway. The vampire groaned when she made her way towards him.

"What do you want? Stefan drama is it?" Damon jeered, slowly making his way back over to the sofa and plopping himself down onto it. Elena didn't say anything just continued to walk over to me, she seemed different, he then realized it wasn't Elena.

Katherine.

Damon groaned loudly when he realized.

"What do you want Katherine?" Damon demanded, she simply smiled in return.

"I see Ava's back, miss her?" She joked, grabbing a drink and sitting down across from him. Damon's head snapped up when he heard Ava's name, anger spreading across the vampire's face.

"Don't you dare go near her Katherine, she's gone through enough already." Damon snapped, standing up and walking over to her. She laughed in an innocent way and looked up at him, pouting her lips.

"Now why would you think I'd do that?" She replied sweetly, smiling.

"Because you're an evil manipulative bitch the needs to leave or die." Damon bit out, pulling her up by her elbow and shoving her towards the door. She laughed even more and turned to him, a wicked grin on her face.

"So you don't want to know who compelled you in 1873?" She teased. Damon's eyes widened. How can she know that? He was about to ask her how so knew but she quickly sped off, leaving Damon standing there in a state of shock.

As he stared through the open door, he saw Stefan's red car pulling up into the driveway. Stefan had worry etched on his face as he thought about Ava. He hoped she wouldn't do anyhting reckless.

He rememebered Lexi telling him about a girl who didn't want to be a vampire, who tried to kill herself multiple times. Who'd have thought he'd end up meeting her?

Stefan parked his car up by the boarding house to see Damon standing in the door way, his face completely drained. Frowning at his brother, Stefan got out the car and walked over to him.

"You ok?" Stefan asked, waving his hand in front of his face to get some sort of response.

Damon couldn't even speak with all the thoughts rushing through his mind "She knows who did it."

"What? Who knows about what? You're not making any sense Damon." Stefan complained as his brother turned back into the house and started to pace around.

"Katherine knows who compelled me to kill Ava." Damon replied and the same shock coursed through his brother. How can Katherine know everything and they are completely unaware?

"Did Ava come and see you then?" Stefan asked, looking over to the broken book shelf and slight cracks in the wooden floor. Damon stopped pacing and looked to me.

"Well if you count slamming into the wall, floor and bookshelf and then finally snapping my neck seeing her then yes I did." He joked, putting his usual sarcastic face on. Stefan sighed and walked over to him.

"You need to talk to her." Stefan said softly. Damon's head snapped up and gave me a bad look.

"She said to me that she'd make my like a living hell, you really think she's ready to talk to me?" He shouted, making Stefan back away.

Stefan couldn't help but worry. He knew what happens to this Damon, he'll get drunk, party with random girls and then drink them dry. Stefan tried to change the subject by focusing on the Original problem they had.

"Well we have something more important than that right now. The Originals are here to stay and we have to find out why, they're hosting a ball in two days, we should go and find out what's going on." Stefan stated, grabbing his brothers attention. Damon sighed and nodded.

"Guessing you're going with Elena." He mumbled. Nodding his head, Stefan started making his way to his room.

*Ava's POV*

God I hated Damon! I wish I could kill him already! I grabbed a tree and violently pulled it out the ground, chucked it through the forest.

This is the only way I could let out my anger without hurting people. I dragged my fingers through my hair, trying to calm myself down.

I sat on the floor and took deep breaths. Suddenly I heard twigs snapping I shot up over to where it was coming from only to see Klaus walking over to me.

"You again." I sighed, staring at him, a smile played around his lips.

"And you are very angry." He pointed out, looking over to the trees I'd destroyed, I looked back at him and shrugged.

"Well if you were told what I was today I'm pretty sure you'd be angry too." I snapped back, my anger building up inside me again. He obviously sensed that as he came closer to me and weirdly pulled me into a hug.

I was shocked, standing there in his arms. I felt nice though, so I raised my arms up and hugged him back. Surprisingly I wasn't cringed out by him, usually I hate hugs but I felt fine, secure. He pulled away and smiled.

"Better?" He replied simply. I slowly nodded and looked at him weird, as if asking why he did that.

"Letting out anger doesn't always have to be violent love, sometimes someone else's embrace can calm you down. It obviously worked as you don't seem angry anymore." He smirked. He was right, I didn't have anger burning up inside me, it'd died down so I was calmer now. I snapped out of his gaze to ask a question

"How did you know were I was?" I asked, placing my hands on my hips. He shrugged and raised both his arms as if he was pointing around the whole forest.

"This isn't just your woods you know, I like to come down here for a walk, it was just coincidence that I saw you." He replied innocently, smiling sharply.

"Ok, well. Um thanks for the hug and that, I'm gonna go home." I replied awkwardly as I turned around and picked up my school bag and started to walk out the woods. I felt him rush next to me and we were walking alongside each other. I gave him a weird look.

"Can I help you?" I asked.

"Would you like to come to my families ball in a couple of days?" He replied smoothly. I looked at him, my mouth dropped open.

"That was sudden. Wait, you mean with you?" I joked, making him raise his eyebrow.

"Yes with me, got a problem with that?" He said, making me shut up. Knowing that I wouldn't be able to get to know people here by not going out, I accepted his invitation.

"Good, I'll pick you up at 7?" He asked, stepping in front of me and stopping me in my tracks.

"Um, yea ok then." I didn't know what to reply so I just agreed. With that he shot off.

I'd just been asked to a ball by the Original Hybrid. Anything strange about that? I shrugged to myself and carried on walking home.
