Crap, crap, Crap! She thought as she looked in the mirror. Nothing was going to plan.

First the spell was wearing off faster than she had expected and now she learned someone killed him. Not that she was sad, on the contrary, she had been planning to kill him herself but now that he was already dead she couldn't. And on top of all that some of the others seemed to be noticing her weird behavior.

She have to put her plan into action soon.

Mineral sat at the table in the dining room aimlessly spinning her dagger on the table in boredom. She was waiting for Kye and Endra to show up, said they had something to tell her and she wasn't going to be happy once she heard it. She wasn't happy anyways but there were many reasons why. Right now, one more thing seemed like it wouldn't matter to her.

Just then the door at the other end opened and Kye walked in with Endra following close behind. Endra looked at the ground as they walked in, as if afraid of what was might happen. They walked up to the table and stood in silence looking at the ground. Mineral stared at the table waiting for them to speak.

"Who was it?" Mineral asked when neither spoke up. Instead of answering Kye slid another note across the table to her. Mineral picked it up.

So you found him. Great. How do you feel? I killed your 'father' for you. I know you were planning on doing something, I just sped it up a bit. Even if that wasn't what you were planning. Oh well, I guess I did you a favor

You want to know a secret though? He never told you this because he wanted to keep your trust. I knew about it though, I know everyone's secrets.

He had planned to kill you. When he took you from your father, that's what he had planned. He knew you were going to be trouble as you grew older and he didn't want any of that. He also knew that if he left you with him you'd turn evil. He was at quite a dilemma with you but something stopped him that night. that part I don't quite understand, why he didn't. As I've said before though, oh well. You'll never know. Dead men tell no tale, after all.

-The Note master

At the end it was all Mineral could do not to burst into tears. Whoever this person was, they killed Him. They killed Steve in cold blood for no other reason than to kill him. This note was just an excuse. The only thing that really got her though was that one line.

He planned to kill you.

She knew it was truth but still had the slightest bit of hope it was a cruel lie. In one swift movement, Mineral took her dagger and pinned the note to the table. Kye and Endra looked at her sadly.

"I'm sorry" Endra said breaking the silence "It must be hard" Mineral looked at her confused. IN response, Endra looked at the ground with occasional glances up at her.

"Kye told me" She said. Mineral looked at Kye with a hurt expression.

"What all did you tell her?" Mineral asked, voice shaking near the end. Kye wouldn't meet her gaze

"Only what she needed to know" Kye answered. Mineral shook her head and stood up. She didn't say a word as she walked towards the door.

"Min. Mineral!" Kye called after her. She ignored the pleas and kept walking until she was out of the castle walls. Even then she kept walking.

When she finally stopped, Mineral found herself in the forest next to a small lake. It was a peaceful day. Sunny, warm, and over all a nice day. Mineral would have been enjoying it if it weren't for the news she had just received. Not to mention the double trouble she was having.

Despite all that though, she started to enjoy the day as she looked around. It was quiet, no one around to bother her. She almost felt like she could be a normal person but reality kept crashing in on her.

She was leaning against a tree, eyes closed when a sound shook her out of her trance. She opened one eye and saw something across the lake she wasn't expecting. A lone enderman seemed to be looking for something. His back was to her so she took the chance and stood up before starting to walk away.

"There you are!" A voice rang out from behind her. Mineral stopped in her tracks. The sound of teleporting came from behind her and she slowly turned to see the enderman looking down at her.

"Hello Phil" She said before tuning away. "Nice day today, isn't it?" She didn't notice the smile creeping onto his face.

"It is" He said, mischief in his voice "Diamond" Mineral spun around and looked at him shocked.

"How did you know?" She asked, her voice barely above a whisper. The smile on Phil's face widened. she smiled back.

"Simple intuition" He said as he enveloped her in a hug "And I read it in a book Seto has" Mineral couldn't help but hug back.

"Seto has a book on me?" She asked as she pulled away. Phil nodded.

"Yep, whole book filled with everything you've done" He said then in a joking voice "It's not as thick as I thought it would be" Mineral smiled and playfully punched his shoulder. He only laughed.

"I guess I'm going to have to have a talk with him then" Mineral said as she leaned back against a tree "right after I get back" a smile played on her lips as she sat down in the shade, enjoying the sunny day.

A/N it's so short. Why is it so short?! Ahh! I'm sorry guys but I really needed to update and I know this sucked but I promise the next chapter will be better.

To explain why it's taking so long, I've been trying to work on all my stories that are still in progress (watch for an update on the q&a) and it really hasn't been helping. I know I probably need a schedule or something and put some books on hold but I'm too lazy to do that at the moment.

Anyways, In this book one of the characters names is actually a word from another language. If you can find that character, figure out what it means AND what language it's in I will give you a shout out and maybe dedicate the next chapter to you.
