Imogen Avery passed by Elijah's room in the mansion and saw Hayley sitting cross-legged on the floor inside, reading a thick leather-bound book.

"Hey, what're you reading?" she asked and walked over to the female werewolf.

Hayley looked up and saw Imogen smiling down at her. She smiled back. "Oh, hey, I was just reading one of Elijah's journals." she looks at the noirette apologetically. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have."

Imogen chuckled and carefully sat beside Hayley on the floor. "It's fine. I know Elijah won't mind."

"I'm confused how you could stay with this conflicted family of Original vampires especially with a person like Klaus, when they've done so many horrible things?" Hayley asked, curiously. "No offense, though!"

Imogen smiled softly at the thought of her family. "It's simple, really, it's because I love them, each and every one of them. They're flaws, they're strengths." she said, Hayley listening attentively to her. "Yes, I know they've done many horrible things to other people and to each other but they've also done many great things that others don't know and understand. I trust and I love them more than anything and anyone."

Hayley smiled softly at her. "Wow, they are lucky to have someone like you." she said as the noirette smiled. "Have you ever, even once, thought of giving up on them?"

Imogen shakes her head lightly. "No." she simply said.

Hayley held both her hands in hers. "You are an amazing person. Again, no offense, Imogen but the father of your child is a dick."

Imogen's eyes widen at her and couldn't help but let out an amused laugh. Hayley laughed along with the noirette. Unknown to the two women, Klaus and Rebekah were downstairs and heard them talking and couldn't help but love Imogen even more, especially Klaus.

The blonde Mikaelson turned to her older brother. "The werewolf girl is right. We are indeed lucky to have Imogen by our side, especially yours, so you better not do anything that will break her heart, Nik. I swear I'm gonna kill you if you do." she threatened.

Klaus smirked. "Who says I'm gonna hurt the woman I love. I've been in love with her for more than a thousand years and now I have her I'm not letting her go. I'm not stupid enough to."

Rebekah smirked at him. "Just what I wanted to hear."

Imogen stood up and smiled down at Hayley. "Come on, let's go. Nik and Rebekah are downstairs. Take the journal if you want."
