I could taste the night air on my lips as I sat in comfort with my phone on my hand, typing endlessly on your chat box as we send stickers back and forth.
12:04 am
Our voices collided as one through the phone, and my heart melted as you shared your ever so silly jokes and laughter that was simply music to my ears.
2:00 am
The night was darker now and we were quiet, listening to each other's heartbeat as we shared secrets nobody else knew, and pain that was only remembered during nights like these.
2:54 am
My eyes closed and you released a heavy slumber chuckle. We bid good night, and for that lasting second I felt secured as if you were right beside me
6:00 am
As I awoke from my alarm, I opened my eyes and stared at the concrete wall with a broken heart, knowing that the conversations and the laughter was just a dream of what used to be.
