Do you remember the first time
you said you loved me?
Or the first time
you were making love to me
and you said, 'baby, you'll be my forever.'
How did everything go
from I love you to let's take a break,
really quick.
How did we end up like this,
sending heart emojis and I love you's
back and forth,
as we go around playing with hearts,
and cheating on each other.
When did this start?
Oh, yes, I remember.
You started it.
You left me here with all the cries,
as you went around town,
making a fool out of yourself.
You left me here
picking up the pieces of my heart,
as you lay in bed with someone else.
There, that's how it started.
This fairytale people say,
it doesn't exist anymore.
We don't exist anymore.
So don't call me names
and spread rumors about me cheating.
Because you started the war,
and I was done crying.
