- Coffee -
The thing about coffee, is that on the first, our face would grimace by the bitterness it led. Then, the next sip would still be bitter but now we already know that we can handle it. And it continues, until eventually we get used to the bitterness.
Now, the coffee comes down smooth in our throats, with bitter aftertastes. But we wouldn't bother anymore because we got so used to the taste, we ended up enjoying it.
You are the bitter coffee.
I was so blinded by the familiarity of you, that I got so used to your imperfections, and when things got bad, I didn't see it right away. I got so used to the bitterness of you, that I didn't realize the taste, until it was already too late.
