Chapter 8

Jason's POV

Darkness.

Darkness swirled around me.

Covered me.

Darkness was all I saw.

Suddenly, a little light slowly appeared from afar.

I slowly followed it.

It was a wrong choice.

Something horrible appeared.

The creature was laughing--I mean in a demonic way.

What was happening?

I covered my ears.

His laugh was getting louder, painful, and dangerous.

He was killing me inside.

"Gahhhhh!! Shut up!!!!!!"

I woke up.

I was in a bed.

A hospital bed.

A girl, who was resting close to my foot, got startled.

Lily.

She woke up and so did the boy beside her.

It was him.

Seto.

Lily's POV

I woke up.

Jason finally woke up.

He startled me with his scream.

"What's wrong Jase?"I asked.

"Uh, j-just a bad dream, Lil"he smiled a nervous smile.

"Don't worry. I'll be here. I'll protect you"I smiled at him, holding his hand.

You can't protect him anymore.

A voice said.

Was it Seto?

"Seto did you say something?"I asked.

"Said what?"he said.

"Um okay?"I just ignored what he said.

What does it mean?

You can't protect him anymore.

Protect who?

Jason?

I don't care.

Must be my head messing with me again.

I smiled back at Jason and gave him a kiss.

There it felt better.

I held his hand and hugged him.

"I'm glad we found you,"I said.

"W-what do you mean?"Jason asked.

"We didn't see you inside Starbucks so we asked a few people if they saw you and we found you unconcious at the back and brought you here because you weren't breathing for how many minutes,"I said. "What happened?"

"I-I don't remember, Lil,"he answered.

"It's okay Jase, just forget what happened and rest. They'll let you go after a few days or so,"

I smiled.

He smiled back and slowly slept while I rested on his hand.

I sighed.

The more I days I live, the more mysteries grow.
