Fallen Snow

Chapter 10

I fall out of the portal and land on my stomach.

"Ow..." I groan. I landed on a flat, rocky surface.

I get up and look around. "Hello?" I ask. I'm not scared because I know Jack is in here somewhere. I hear a groan from the left and I walk towards the sound. It's dark down the hallway but then I turn into a room and see Jack fighting with Pitch. Jack is trying to freeze the black sand that is thrown at him. The sand knocks the staff out of his hands and Pitch laughs. The sand is coming towards him and he's just standing there. "Jack!" I scream. I run and get in front of him. I close my eyes and hold my hands up. I can feel the sand moving toward my hands.

Jack screams my name as the last of the sand hits Pitch off the horse he made and sends him crashing to the ground. I black out and feel cold arms wrap around me before I hit the ground.
