I stare at the arrow that has gone into my stomach. It doesn't hurt. Pitch looks shocked that the arrow hit me, but also pleased. He laughs before Jack hits him in the chest with ice.

I drop to my knees. I'm weak now and black sand is coming out of the arrow and crawling across my chest.

Jack catches me and lays me across the snow. He keeps saying my name over and over again.

"Jack," I whisper. "It's okay."

He shakes his head. "It's my fault."

I place my hand on his cheek and I hear the other guardians screaming for Jack.

"No. I was just being stupid again." I say, my voice shaking.

"You're always stupid." He says.

I smile.

"Jack!" North says as he sees us.

"North, please help her." Jack pleads.

North sees where the arrow is and shakes his head. "Nothing can help her." He says.

Tears fill Jack's eyes.

"Hey," I whisper. "I'm going to be okay."

My eyes start to close.

"I love you Jack." I whisper.

I try so say something else but I lost my voice.

"I love you too November."

He touches his forehead to mine.

"You were too young," he whispers so only I can hear. "Too young and too innocent. And I couldn't save you. I'm sorry."

And with a broken heart I died in Jack's arms.
