Author's Note: So, I made you guys a promise and this is me keeping it. I wrote this entire thing so many times but while fighting with my ex-boyfriend... I finally got the inspiration I needed. I hope you guys like it and find it to be short but worth the extremely long wait. (I am so sorry!) And I PROMISE to update soon. Fingers crossed that I haven't lost my touch >.<

This chapter will have Ryan in it, so look out for that blonde boy. He'll be coming in in a big way.

As I climbed into the shower I held my bottom lip between my teeth, breathing nervously as I ignore the tingling sensation running through my veins. I closed my eyes running my hands through my soapy brown hair. After spending an entire day on a plane, I was exhausted. But I still had a welcome home party to attend before I could even consider winding down. I could tell as soon as I landed today would be a busy day. After my first alpha assignment, I shouldn't have expected for things to calm down so quickly. I let out a sigh as I lathered my body up and rinsed it off, repeating the process again only the second time including my hair. As I stepped out, my stomach did the thing it'd been doing since Miami, leaving me on my knees in front of the toilet bowl.

I stood up slowly, not wanting my stomach to leap again, before brushing my teeth and leaving the bathroom. I held the towel around me as I opened my dresser and silently wished we could do the welcome home party another day. But it wasn't for just me, I had to think of everyone else who'd escorted me to Miami and I had to warn my pack of the new terms. I pulled into my undergarments just as a knock sounded at my door. "Ada you in there?" My mom called as I walked across the room to my closet.

"Yeah, um, come in." I sighed strolling through the various dresses. I smiled looking over my shoulder at her, as beautiful as always. Her black halter dress stopped just at her ankles with a bit of glame on her waist to match her clutch, everything topped off with her heels. Her hair was pinned up and away from her face, her neck and ears holding diamonds. "Someone's shining bright. All this for a welcome home party?"

"This is much more than a welcome home party sweetheart and you know that." My mom smiled as she took a seat on my bed, a smiled on her red lipstick covered lips. "It's a celebration of you completing your first challenge as a Alpha." She continued as I pulled out a red mesh heart lace dress with a thin black belt and laid it out next to her. "We're all proud of you. Cassidy, Jason, Greyson, and Zack as well. All of us; Me, your Father, Blake, the entire pack."

"I get it mom, thank you. I appreciate it really but..." I sighed trying to find a way to say the ext sentence without hurting her feelings. "I have to get ready." I smiled watching as she gave a slight nod and headed for my door. I sighed before rushing to the bathroom to do my hair in a up-do with braided bangs. I pulled on my dress, some round toe bow tie Stiletto's, and a black clutch before heading to the party.

*~*

"You look as stunning as always." Jason smiled as we sat around the round table marked with each of our names. I smiled as I looked over to Cassidy, her blonde hair straightened and her white halter flawlessly matched with a lace black sweater. "Both of you do."

"Flattery will get you nowhere Jason." Cassidy chuckled just as my father finished his speech and signalled it was my turn on stage. I let out a groan before taking a small sip of Cassidy's beverage and heading over to him. "Good luck Luna."

"Hello everyone, I want to thank you all for attending our home coming. It is certainly nice to see everyone here." I started not knowing what exactly to say. "Um, I'd like to inform you all that Mr. Zander did not attend our final meeting as planned but this is no reason to panic. The treaty was signed and copied beforehand which means it is still in order." I informed, making sure to keep a smile on my face so they would have no reason to put worry onto theirs. "I am more then extremely overjoyed to finally have this rivalry come to an end, and I can only hope you all agree with me when I say toast to a fresh start." I sighed as I slowly began to back away from the mic. Surprise covering my face as my dad held me in place before speaking his next sentence.

"And tonight, I'd like to deliver my daughter with a surprise of her own. These last few months have been difficult for her and granted her limited opportunity to see her fiance, Ryan Goodman. So tonight..." My father paused for dramatic affect and I could feel my stomach more then ready to lurch as I slowly counted to 10 hoping he wouldn't say what I thought he was going to. "I'd like to shine the spotlight on him and reunite the two."

Suddenly the room dimmed and a beam of light cut through the crowd, illuminating Ryan blue eyes while bouncing off of his blonde hair. He stood up straight with his hands in his pockets and a smiled on his lips. While I, stood in utter shock on stage trying to keep myself from vomiting over the first row. My dad elbowed me, jerking his head in signal for me to go to him. As I hurried towards him in a desperate attempt to make it look as if I were excited instead of scared as hell, Ryan held out a single rose. I took it in my hands before wrapping my arms over his neck, allowing him to wrap his own onto my waist before I let out a shaky whisper. "We... We need to have a serious talk."

"I was counting on that beautiful, but first... a kiss. After all, the spotlight is on us. Right?" He whispered back before pulling away and cupping my head into his hands, kissing me long enough and hard enough to make me forget I was supposed to be done with him. When we pulled back the crowd cheered enthusiastically before returning their attentions to whatever they'd originally been and I grabbed Ryan's wrist, pulling him to the dance floor.

"Who's idea was this because I know my dad didn't just decide to suddenly put this all out there." I growled lowly as Ryan's hands guided to my waist, his lips so close to my ear I began to get goosebumps. I let out a deep breath before speaking. "Answer me."

"Your mother thought it'd be a great way to reunite us. She really has put a lot into this wedding, and with it being scheduled for only a week from now... She agrees me and you need to bond a bit more." He frowned down at me as we swayed back and forth across the floor. I let out a sigh, silently cursing my mother for caring so much as I listened to members of my pack whisper about what a beautiful couple Ryan and I are. "So I was thinking tonight I'd sleep in your bed and hold you and kiss you and tell you just how much you mean to me. We can tell each other every secret that needs to be said, then in the morning we can wake up and I'll make you breakfast in bed. Then you can go dress shopping with your mom and I'll go pick up my tux. You can go over the final details and see if you like everything that's planned for our wedding so far."

"Ryan I-"

"No Adalaid. This isn't the time nor the place to tell me you think you might be pregnant again with Eric's kid." Ryan stated with teary eyes as the song ended and he pulled away. He whipped his face as gave his lips a gentle lick before pulling me outside to the balcony. "Eric called me this morning, asking me if I'd go pick up Aiden. When I got there he was in a hurry but he made sure to tell me your little secret before leaving. I was shaken at first, I admit, but after you sleeping with him I should've guessed."

"Why would he... Where's Aiden?"

"He's in the daycare down the hallway, he's safe. You know I'd never hurt him." Ryan assured wrapping his fingers into mine. "I still want this wedding Adalaid. It's only a slight possibility you are and if you are... We'll figure something out then. As for now, I much rather pretend that there's no possibility at all."

"So you want to just... Ryan I-" I started only to be cut off as the doors flew open.

"There's the lovely couple." My mother grinned pulling both of us inside. "Come come, some members of the pack want to get a few pictures of you both together while the nights still young."

The rest of the night was filled with paparazzi like photos of me and Ryan or me and the group, dances that made my feet hurt in my heels, food that made my stomach react badly but I held it down for appearance sake, and speeches from everyone either on how proud they were of us or how perfect me and Ryan will be. I faked my smile at the best times, and Ryan never left my side for longer then his 5 minute bathroom break.
