It Started In A Barn

Chapter 8

Zoey's P.O.V

I quickly finished eating. ‘Bee was still a bit mad at Gadget for not giving him his jacket. I swear, he tried every way possible to get Gadget to give it to him. But boy is Gadget stubborn. He was not changing his mind.

“Are we heading for Texas now?” I ask as I pull on my shoes, getting ready to tie them, sorta.

“We have to pick up a thing or two, but yes.” ‘Bee said with a smile as he came over and started tying my shoes

“Thanks ‘Bee!” I say with a grin as he finishes

“‘Course!”

I stood back up on my feet and saw Gadget zipping up my backpack.

“Ready, steady?” He mused

I giggled slightly, I can't take him seriously fully with the cowboy hat on. It's so funny looking!

“Yep, though it would be better if I had my jacket.” Bumblebee replied

“‘Bee, I still have not changed my mind.” Gadget said back as he opened the door

All three of us headed out and he shut the door behind us.

‘Bee shot Gadget a glare before he picked me up with a slight smile. Luckily, this time we took the stairs down, rather than the elevator.

We got back to the lobby and Gadget returned the keycard, before we then headed off outside.

“Can I at least drive my alt this time?” ‘Bee asked

Gadget sighed heavily as he stopped.

“Pllllleeeeeaaaasssseeee.” ‘Bee begged as he gave Gadget one of the hardest things to resist,  puppy eyes.

And boy, can Bumblebee do puppy eyes. I giggled slight as Gadget shook his head

“Well I suppose you shoulder has done much better…”

Bumblebee perked up a little as he held me.

“Sooo?”

“Fine, you can drive your alt. No speed racer though.” Gadget stated as he gave in

“Ye-es!” ‘Bee cheered, and I laughed

“Whatcha mean by ‘speed racer’?” I ask as we got closer to their alt’s

“I may have a slight habitat of driving fast.” ‘Bee admitted

“Slight?” Gadget said with a smirk

“You can't keep up smarty, not with the engine of that old one.” ‘Bee shot back

Gadget scoffed

“As if. I may have that bulky thing as my alt, but trust me, I've got the engine of a 2013 Lamborghini Gallardo.” he retorted with a grin

I raised my eyebrows slightly. From what I heard, those ones are fast.

Bumblebee only grinned back as we then stepped over to the alt’s. He carefully set me down before helping Gadget unchain his alt.

Several minutes later, both alt mode’s were separated.

‘Bee grinned in eagaredness.

Gadget smile slightly, before he climbed into his own alt.

Bumblebee took me over to his and opened the passenger door.

“Thanks ‘Bee!” I said with a smile as I climbed in and clicked on my seat belt before he then shut the door.

“No problem.” he replied before sliding in the driver's seat.
