It Started In A Barn

Chapter 37

Zoey’s P.O.V.

I watched in amusement as I saw Gadget talking to ‘Ace. He seems pleasant.

“What have you been up to?” Ace questioned as he watched the two of us

“A lot. Where have you been at?” Gadget countered

“Currently making arrangements with the police station.” Ace shrugged back

“Why? Didn't you get Optimus’s message?” Gadget then asked confused as he sat up more

“Sort of. All static mostly. And my t-cog is cracked.”

“Cracked!?”

Ace nodded back

“Lockdown almost had me. If it wasn't for the twins managing to distract him, I wouldn't be here.” Ace said simply

“Thing one and thing two are here too?”

“Mhm. They stayed back and helped me get back up and running mostly.” Ace chuckled back

I saw Gadget hum and nod.

“Who's the little one?” Ace then asked as he gestured at me

“Hiya, I'm Zoey.” I said with a shy wave

“She's ours. Meaning all of us.” Gadget mused as well

“Nice ta meet ya cutie pie.” Ace grinned and I grinned back

There was then a shout of a few people and I could see a guy running off.

“Excellent. They needed some target practice.” Ace chuckled to himself as he turning and saw.

I shifted again in my seat and saw Ace go back to his alt. He then opened his driver door.

“You know the routine.” I heard him say as two full grown German shepherds jumped out.

One was a darker tan and chocolate color, and looked a bit bigger than the other one, who was a lighter tan and chocolate. They both had on black police vests, with the bigger ones writing in blue and the smaller ones in white.

I watched as they both gave a bark before running off, and Ace came back over.

“What's their names?” I asked him curiously

Ace smiled slightly

“The bigger guy is Crisco and the smaller guy is Rouge. Crisco is the older one.” He answered with a grin

I nodded in understatement.

I hummed as the two talked for a bit. Several minutes later, I saw Crisco and Rouge trotting back to us, both looking pleased with themselves.

“Good boys.” Ace hummed as he saw the people relieved looking.

I could hear them both bark back as Ace chuckled.

“C'mon, I'll take ya back.” Ace said to Gadget

“Aye aye.” He hummed back, making me smile a little

Ace chuckled and shook his head, before heading back to his alt, with Crisco and Rouge on each of his side's.

“Ready steady?” Gadget asked me

“You betcha!” I replied happily as I clicked back on my seatbelt

A few minutes later, we were driving again. This time following Ace.

I hummed as I watched things fly past the window.

“Gadgey?” I then asked

“Yes?”
