"How are you holding up, Babe?"

"Not too well, how about you?"

"I'm alright. What's bugging you so badly?"

"I'm exhausted."

"Then just go to sleep, Dear."

"I can't. I'm mentally exhausted."

That silenced him.

"I'm exhausted mentally. I can't think straight, I can't focus, I can't function normally."

"Well, what helps that?"

"Breaks."

"Breaks?"

"Breaks from literally everything. Kind of days where I just sit inside and sleep or honestly just lay on the chair and forget everything."

"Do you need a break? Right now?"

I nodded. It was true, I really did.

"Well...why don't we take a break together?"

"We could..."

"Come on. I'll sit on the sofa, I know you called 'dibs' on the recliner."

"Okay. We'll take a break."
