Perfume - Excerpt

One of these days, you'll cross paths again.

And when you do, he'll smell your perfume in the air as you walk by.

In that split second, every memory he had with you will quickly flood his mind, drowning him.

Then, the memories will stop. They came and went like a bolt of lightening.

Just as quickly as the memories left, his ocean toned eyes will direct his gaze behind him, and he will notice that the girl that passed him was in fact you.

Next, on cue, another bolt of lightening will hit him. Not in his memory though, in his heart.

And for one more split second, for once in this lifetime, his heart will be the one feeling empty and hollow, instead of yours.
