Chapter Thirty-Six

Mitch's point of view-

"Oh come on Mitch.." Someone in the room said.
"Yeh have to tell us sometime" someone else agreed.
"It's not that I don't want too, it's just I don't actually remember what happened.." I answered.
"Mitch" Ash put her hand on my leg, "please... try.. For me.." I lowered my head and sighed,
"Fine...." I began to think really hard, as hard as I could, not thinking about a thing in the world but the past year. I could hear small talk in the background of all my thinking but couldn't actually hear what anyone was saying. I sat up again, everyone looked at me,
"I can't do it.. I can't remember.." Everyone lowered their heads. I felt horrible but I honestly couldn't remember a thing,
"It's fine buddy, just if you remember, please let us know.." Jerome sympathized.
"Yeh it's just hard to know that a year has been lost and you can't remember a thing..." Ash agreed. I nodded and walked up to my room. Why can't I remember anything about the past year?! Do I need a reminder like something that happened to happen again?! I don't know.. I just want to remember.

~One Week Later~

Jason came downstairs screaming and I turned around to see what was going on,
"I knew you would do this!" Jason shouted back up the stairs, "I knew you would leave me for Mitch!"
"I didn't think he was coming back Jason!" Ash came running down the stairs screaming.
"Don't give me your bull crap!" Jason yelled at Ash as he stormed out the door. Ash flopped on to the stairs and sat with her face in her hands. I slowly walked over to her then sat next to her,
"Ash? What just happened?" I questioned quietly.
"I broke up with Jason.." she replied.
"For me?" I looked at her.
"Yeh I guess so"
"Then why are you upset, if this is what you want?"
"I was with Jason for a year and just because your back I leave him, it seems like I used him." she answered.
