Chapter 13: Vacation?

With how everyone was the Commander decided to give everyone a vacation, of course he still found Destiny in the infirmary more often then not "I'm gonna go and head home" she says yawning  "I'll notify you when he wakes up" Erwin says, Farlan is patiently waiting for her outside however "Come on" he says putting her on his horse and he gets on too "Farlan!" Mikasa calls before he can ride off and he gives her a smiles "Here" she says holding out a small box "I found it in the Corporal's office and noticed quite a lot of things broken, maybe Destiny can fix it for him" she says as Farlan takes the box "Hey Mika, we could go on a picnic again tomorrow" he says earning a smile "Alright, take care of Destiny for me" she says.

"We're back" Destiny mumbles entering the house with Farlan "We saved you some dinner" Isabel says from the kitchen "I'm not that hungry, sorry" Destiny says, but Farlan says "You are going to eat something" "Bossy much?" Isabel asks, but Destiny plops down at the table anyway. The three sit in Farlan's room later deciding what to do for the vacation Destiny got "Swimming?" Farlan asks earning a shrug from both of them "I think I'm just going to lay in bed all day tomorrow" Destiny concludes after her head started to hurt from thinking to much "It's pretty late" Isabel says looking at the clock. Halfway through the night Destiny sneaks out after leaving a note for the others to find and she heads back to HQ where she sees Eren nearly falling asleep and she says "I'll switch with you, get some rest", so she sits down on the chair next to the bed taking a book from her bag. "Hanji, it's rude to stare" she comments "Sorry, just wasn't expecting you here" Hanji says walking over "I wish he would wake up" Destiny says earning a pat on her head "He will, his injuries are healing nicely" Hanji says "So about that camera" she adds, everyone had seen the board Eren put up "What about it?" Destiny asks "Where is it?" Hanji asks earning a look that says 'took you long enough' "My room at home" Destiny simply says earning a groan. Movements however catch their eye, but while Hanji looks happy Destiny looks sad "His situation is improving" the scientist says "If he moves again come get me" she adds before disappearing from the room.

The next morning Eren decides to open the curtains after making sure Destiny won't wake up thanks to it "Shut it" he suddenly hears Levi mumble, so he closes one of them "Corporal you're awake" he says walking over "I can't remember what happened" Levi says and he sees Destiny asleep on a chair, but the dark circles under her eyes show she's either not sleeping enough or that she has nightmares "Probably both" he mumbles and Eren wants to shake Destiny awake, only for a glare to stop him "Get Erwin" Levi orders earning a quick nod. "Des wake up" he says and he spots the book in her hand, so he tries to take it "Don't" she says rubbing her eyes and she hugs Levi seeing he's awake "Easy Des. My back" he says "Levi, we thought you wouldn't wake up" Erwin says and he smiles seeing Destiny "Eren told me you don't remember what happened" he adds earning a nod "After that Titan snatched me out of the air" Levi says rubbing Destiny's back, so after telling Levi what happened he suddenly sits up "Are the other two alright?" he asks "Yes they are, I probably would have lost you if they didn't come with me" Destiny says "They'll be glad to see you awake" she adds, so Destiny convinces Levi to come along since he needs the rest anyway and he's hugged by Isabel instantly, who is a little more careful then Destiny "Back to bed with you" Farlan says seeing Destiny "Alright" she mumbles heading upstairs and Farlan hands Levi some clothes "Take a shower, preferably before the other two come back" he says. "Des hasn't been sleeping well has she?" Levi asks sitting on Farlan's bed after the shower "No and eating is something she only did when Isabel and I forced her to" Farlan says "She may act cheerful, but the last few days it seemed like she wasn't even trying" "That means she gave up hope, remember when we first found her?" Levi asks earning a nod "She was even worse back then, I wondered what would have happened if we hadn't seen her when she had stolen some bread" Farlan says. "Probably dead" Destiny comments walking in "I have mice in my room" she says laying on the bed causing her two friends to look at her "You just wanna be with Levi" Farlan says and he adds "But I gotta go, can't leave Mika waiting", he leaves just as Isabel enters with a tray of food "Let me guess, mice" she says seeing Destiny "This is getting old" she adds. However she knows there's no point in trying to get Des to leave Levi alone "Once you're done eating you should go to her room, just don't mind the mess" Isabel says and Levi chuckles "Still didn't change a bit" "I did change, I killed my own brother, well Petra gave the final blow" Destiny mumbles hiding her face in his chest "And it's not a mess, it'd organized" she adds. When lunch rolls around Destiny is humming while walking down the stairs, despite the urge to slide down the railing, and she sits down "Isabel you took a plate too much" the man says, but Levi enters the room "You must be Levi, these two told us all about you" the man says so Destiny says "Only good things though" "Nice to meet you" Levi says and Isabel pulls him over to the table "He already ate didn't he?" Destiny asks, but Isabel says "He just woke up this morning, by the way, there's a training dummy in the backyard" "Can we go camping now?" Destiny asks, Levi nods while ruffling her hair as he says "That'd be fun, just like old times" "I think we still have two tents somewhere" Farlan says walking in with Mikasa "It's raining" he adds drying his hair with a towel "Come join us for lunch" Isabel says waving them over.
