Melanie-

"I can't wait for Christmas," Skyler gushed as we all were in Noah and Natasha's house.

"Can't hold the excitement now can you? Noah asked.

"I know right? I agreed with him.

It was now finally Declmber. The weather had gotten colder, snowflakes appeared here and there, and in a week Christmas break would soon be here.

and all Skyler has been talking about is how excited she was for Christmas, like there wasn't hundreds of test to fail before then.

Although I do understand why she's so excited. This year, her parents are finally letting her go to Palm Springs to stay with her grandparents.

"I know i can't , but I'm just more excited for Christmas." She explains.

We all nod our heads. We then hear a small giggle in the corner of the room. We all divert our eyes to Natasha who is smiling about something on her phone.

"What's so funny? Hunter asks her.

"Mark Anthony." She simply answers.

A group of "oohs" erupts for the room, and an 'eww' from Noah.

"What does Mark Anthony see in you? He asks stuffing popcorn in his mouth.

"Shut up. He's thinks I'm really funny." She says smiling even wider. If that's possible.

"Yeah and I bet he'll think I'm funny when I kick his ass." Noah says.

We all chuckle.

"And why would you do that? She's asks.

"That guy is pure trouble. He's bad news Nattie." He says.

"Whatever." She ignores him.

I turn my attention back to Hunter.

"Have you made up your mind about going for president? I ask.

"Yeah, I'm going to drop it. To much work. I have lacrosse to focus on.

"But it's really cold outside. Lacrosse season is ending soon isn't that so? I ask.

"I know Mel, but we're  juniors. This year is really important for me. I just can't wait around until the end of the year to try and get these scholarships." He explained.

I nod my head in understanding. "What about you have your made up your mind about Volley and Photography? He asks.

"I haven't fully made up my mind but I have been giving it a lot of thought. As of right now, my mind is telling me to focus on photography a bit more." I answer.

He nods his head.

"So you're quitting the team or something? Natasha asks.

I shake my head no.

"Like I said, I'm undecided." I say.

She nods her head in understanding.

"Am I the only only one who has no clue what they want TO do? Ryan asks.

"You're not alone my brother," Noah says.

"You have lacrosse stupid." Skyler comments.

Ryan rolls his eyes. " I know I have lacrosse but so does every other person on the team trying to better than me. I don't even know if college is worth it." He shrugs.

"I wish I had that choice. I can't relate." Natasha says.

"I know right," I agree with her.

All of the sudden I hear my phone go off.

It was a text from my mom.

"Oh I have to get home." I say getting up.

I grab my coat from the shelf, and I swing it on.

"Well I'm her ride so I better get going." Hunger says as he also gets up.

We wave goodbye to everyone , and we head out the front door.

As soon as I open the door a huge gust of wind gets in my face and I shudder. It got really cold, really fast.

Hunter and I skip over to his car, our feet stepping in little piles of snow, as we walked and got in the car.

"Turn on the heat. Right now." I demanded as we got in the car. Hunter chuckled at my demand , but turned the heat on anyway.

"So winter break is coming up." He says as he bought the keys to the ignition. I nod my head.

"My parents wanted to have you over for Christmas." He says in one quick sentence.

My heart skips a beat. I've seen hunters parents a few times and we barley had a  conversation.

"Really? I ask.

He nods his head while smiling. "For a little Christmas dinner." I couldn't help the smile that came to my face.

"Of course Hunter. Id love to." I say.

He smiled and put his hand on mine. "I know they can't wait to get to know you." He says.

At those words I couldn't help but feel nervous. I was seriously meeting his parents for the first time and I couldn't help but overthink.

What if they don't like me? What if they disapprove of our relationship? All these questions just started to swarm in my head.

Would they judge me? Would they only cook chicken because I'm bla- I was stopped from my thinking when a text message broke me out of my trance.

It was from an anonymous number.

Your boyfriend Is not really who you think he is. Want to know why he asked you out, out of the blue?

It read.

My eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

Who is this

I texted back.

That doesn't matter. Do you want to hear about your boyfriend?

The person texted again.

I debated with myself whether or not to hear what this person has to say.

Sure

I typed and hit send. Almost immediately later they sent an audio file.

"You okay? Hunter asks as he glances over to me a bit.

"Yeah I'm fine." I answer half-heartedly.
