Two Juliets

The mark of naivety
Is when you yearn for a Romeo to your Juliet.
Here we were,
Two Juliets,
Laughing and crying that Romeos
Wouldn't notice us.
We became each other's other halves.
We were too young to know
That two lovers
Does not a love story make.
We stood on the edge of a cliff,
Staring each other in the eye,
Our fingers barely touching,
Screaming,
"Juliet! Juliet!
Wherefore art thou Juliet?"
We were right there.
Right at cliff's edge.
Two lovers
Does not a love story make.
Two Juliets
Does a tragedy make.
