But all the same,
Something stabs you in the heart
And leaves you gasping
Momentarily
As you realize
You could've had my heart
If only you hadn't run
From your feelings.
But I'm glad it wasn't,
Because you duped us both
Into thinking you were the one.
Now, I have nothing but honesty.
