"Virgil?" Patton knocked on Anxiety's door, looking for him. When no one answered, he slowly opened the door, figuring he had his headphones on and couldn't hear him. However, the room was empty.

Morality looked around, and he started to grin when he seen Virgil's purple hoodie sitting in the bed. The Anxious side occasionally switched from his new jacket to his old one whenever he was in the mind palace, however, he never left either of them out when he did.

Patton giggled, walking towards the hoodie and picking it up carefully, afraid there was going to be an Indiana Jones trap that would set off when he moved it. However, there were no traps. He grinned, sliding the hoodie on before walking out of the room to his own.

Virgil shut the door of his room, leaning against it and clutching his Jack Skellington miniature statue.

Earlier, he had been in the middle of switching his jackets when Roman walked in, distracting Anxiety with conversation with the motive of stealing his Nightmare Before Christmas statue. He would have gotten away with it too if Virgil hadn't seen a flash of black and white in his hands when he turned to leave. That led to Virgil chasing the creative side throughout the mind palace, shouting, "Don't mess with Jack!"

Virgil sighed, placing the pumpkin king in his rightful spot on the shelf. He grabbed his phone and plopped on the bed, when a thought occurred to him. He had never put his purple hoodie in the closet.

He checked his sheets, the floor, and even under the bed, but the jacket was no where to be found. Someone must have taken it.

What was with these people and stealing his stuff?

He figured it was Roman, but then he remembered Princey hadn't stepped foot near his bed the whole time he was there. He knew Logan wouldn't have done it, since he was above that, so that left only one person.

His boyfriend, Patton.

In fact, this had Patton written all over it. Virgil could see him giggling, sliding on the hoodie with glee. Well, it was time for Morality to learn a lesson.

Don't mess with an emo's hoodie.

*
Virgil peered into Patton's room. Just as he suspected, Morality had stolen Anxiety's hoodie, and was currently curled up, asleep in it. Virgil had to admit, he was absolutely adorable, even if they did look similar. The glasses and jacket making a winning combo on him.

Focus, Virgil.

The Anxious side quietly walked into the room, eyes lighting up when he seen what he wanted.

Patton's signature cardigan.

It had fallen off while he had slept, and it sat like a halo around his head. Virgil smirked, and snatched it, glancing at the sleeping side before scurrying out of the room.

*
Patton yawned, sitting up and stretching his arms. He smiled down at his boyfriend's hoodie that he wore, then stood. But something was missing. The familiar feel of his cardigan around his shoulders was absent, and when he reached up, he didn't feel it there. He checked his bed and floor, but it was no where to be found. Suddenly, he felt himself being summoned, and he quickly put on a smile. Logan and Roman were already there, and the two sides along with Thomas stared at him.

"Are you wearing Virgil's hoodie?" Thomas asked.

"Well, um, you see, there's a perfectly good explanation for this—"

"He stole it." Everyone turned to look at Virgil, who wore a smirk—and Patton's cardigan around his shoulders.

"You took my cardigan!" Patton said, pointing at his boyfriend accusingly.

"Plot twist!" Roman said excitedly, clapping his hands together.

"Oh, I am so not editing this out," Thomas said, smiling wide as he looked between the two.

"Oh my gallium," said Logan.

"So? You started it." Virgil crossed his arms smugly.

"Yeah, but . . ." Morality's voice faltered. Anxiety did have a good point there. "Roman, Logan, Thomas, if you could excuse us for a moment." The remaining few heard Virgil's laugh echo as the two teleported back to the mind palace.

"I'll trade you," Patton said, quickly taking the purple hoodie off and eyeing his cardigan around the other's shoulders.

"Relax, I was always going to give it back to you." He untied the cardigan and held it out to the other, who quickly grabbed it, trading him for the hoodie. Morality tied his cardigan, sighing with happiness. Anxiety took his black hoodie off, then put his new one on, making the other one go back to his closet.

"Thanks . . . Pat," he said, trying the nickname out.

Morality looked up at him, grinned, then leaned forward and kissed his cheek.

"Aww, a nickname! I love it!" He wrapped his arms around Virgil's neck, and the other side closed the gap between them with a sweet kiss.

"Guys?" Roman said as he appeared in the mind palace. "Thomas wanted to know if—" He grinned, seeing the two kissing. "That's adorable!"

The two pulled apart, Virgil a blushing mess, and they teleported back to where the others were waiting.

One thing was for sure, Patton learned his lesson.

Never mess with Virgil's hoodie.

Can I just say how much I love this title? That line in the oneshot actually came before the title.
