Chapter 10

Takanori POV

Layla danced around, screaming the lyrics at the top of her lungs.

'What is she doing?' I thought, quietly staring at her from a distance until I burst into laughter.

Layla: "Oh my god, don't scare me like that!" she jumped when she heard me.

I laughed uncontrollably for a while until I could catch my breath.

Takanori: "What was that?" I asked, still laughing.

She shot me a dirty look. If looks could kill, I would have been a goner. She kept an unpleasant look on her face as she stared at me as I laughed. I planned to stop laughing by now, but how could I help myself? She was dancing like a dying seal.

Layla: "Are you done yet?" he said, referring to my non-stop laughter.

Takanori: "No, I'm not. Was that supposed to be dancing?" I asked, trying to keep a straight face.

Layla: "Yes." She said, still stone-faced.

Takanori: "Oh my god. You have the moves of a rhythmless mid-age accountant." I said, cracking a joke at her expense.

Layla: "Wow, Takanori, you really know how to flatter a girl." she said mono-toned.

Takanori: "Oh, I was hoping you would've noticed." I smiled.

She rolled her eyes at me before she turned to walk toward the couch.

Takanori: "Honestly, keep going. Don't let me stop you. Go on." I said, cheering her on.

Layla: "Oh, shut up," she said, plopping down on the couch before grabbing the remote to change the song.

Takanori: "So my boogie master, you're finally researching my group." I said, sitting down next to her as she flipped through music videos on YouTube.

Layla: "Yeah, I figured it would be best since I keep forgetting you're famous." she said, still searching through videos.

Takanori: "Again, it still puzzles me how you keep forgetting." I said in disbelief.

Layla: "Sorry." She guiltily said, giving me a quick side glance. "I found a few songs, but I got stuck on 'The Galaxy Express 999' song. It's very catchy."

Takanori: "It is. So, what do you think so far?" I asked curiously.

Layla: "The band's cool, but I haven't seen you once."

Takanori: "That's because you've only seen three videos from us." I said, scanning through the video history. " The ones you chose just so happened to be the ones I'm not in. I came into the group in 2010. I'm in J Soul Brothers primarily." I said, looking for a video with me in it. "Here you go. You can watch these while I jump in the shower." I said, clicking onto a playlist of J Soul Brothers music videos. I handed her the remote then headed to the bathroom to shower.

Layla POV

'How embarrassing. Why did Takanori have to walk in while I was dancing all crazy.' I thought as I waited for the first J Soul Brothers music video to play.
