Thomas walked into Laf's dorm and looked around. Noting the way the small space had been filled with homey decoration and light. He took a breath in and could smell the scent of baked goods in the air. He wondered if Laf had been baking that day or if the scent lingered from the never-ending bake-sale Laf seemed to be solely supplying. He carefully set his things off to the side when there was a knock at the door. He glanced over to Laf, who was hurrying to answer it.
Who is he expecting? Thomas thought.
Thomas was slightly skeptical when Hercules walked through the door and pressed a small kiss on Laf's cheek as a greeting. The gears began turning in his head, quickly coming to a conclusion as his eyes lit up.
"Whaaaaat?" Thomas said in a noticeably higher-pitched voice "Since when does Gilly have a boyfriend?" Thomas's southern drawl was becoming more evident. Herc chuckled a little, reaching out to shake Thomas's hand.
"Gilly?" Herc said raising a brow.
"Don't you dare start calling me that." Laf said, only half-joking.
"Hercules Mulligan, nice to meet you."
"Thomas Jefferson," Thomas said shaking Herc's hand, turning his head slightly to toss suggestive looks in Laf's direction.

I was mildly intrigued by the fact that Gilly had a boyfriend and didn't tell me. I thought we were closer friends than that, but it really didn't matter as long as Gilly was happy.
I actually kinda liked this Herc guy. He wasn't half bad, and he was definitely in love with my friend.
"Hey, Gilbert?" I said.
"What is it mon ami?" Gilly responded, looking almost worried by my serious tone. I raised a brow and smirked before asking.
"Is there any mac & cheese? Because I would kill for some mac & cheese."
