You look over at River rolling your eyes, he had just lighted a cigarette. You absolutely hated them because you were raised being told that they were horrible. You didn't like the fact that River would smoke, especially around you. You cleared your throat. 'Cough... cancer... cough... killing lungs...cough...not good for you...'
River looks up at you, slowly blowing the smoke through his lips. 'Y'know just because you cough before you say stuff doesn't mean I can't hear what you're saying.' He smirks, taking a long drag of his cigarette.
''What do you mean!? What did I say?!' You look at River with puppy dog eyes, an innocent smile on your face. 'Cough...not good... cough'
River groans and rubs his eyebrow. 'Fine, (Y/N).' He reluctantly puts his cigarette out in the ashtray the restaurant provided in the middle of the table. You almost squealed, happy that you got your way.
Passing a mint chewie to River you smile. 'I love you, Baby.' He rolled his eyes and grabbed the chewie.
'Yeah yeah whatever (Y/N) love you too'
