....My Brothers Are Everything To Me....

Chapter 29:

--------------------------------

Annika was startled when all of a sudden the door was locked, she quickly got up and pulled her home's door to find it locked.

Oh God...!

Who was it...?

Then the current got cut off suddenly and Annika didn't know what's going on.

She moved away from the door and pulled the window nearby but it didn't budge a single bit.

Annika moved towards the shelf where she kept the candles and lit them. She placed them in the centre of dining table and looked around.

She moved around to find her cell phone but tripped over something only to find a strange doll there.

She threw it away while her heart started beating crazily in fear..

Someone was in her house or was still in her house..

The door won't lock from outside just like that.

She has to call someone..

Annika with trembling hands took her mobile and looked around in fear of someone popping up out of nowhere.

Annika didn't know whom to contact since she was an orphan and she didn't even have any decent relatives nor any close friends but she instinctively called Shivaay..

Annika felt like someone's hand on her back and as soon as the call connected she dropped it in fear yelling,

“Shivaay."

Annika turned around to find no one there but she knew there was someone definitely there.

Annika's legs trembled in fear so she grabbed the frying pan nearby and moved to a corner which has light from the candle.

Annika's brain don't work in these kind of situations.

It felt like she has gone back to her past, she pulled her knees to her chest and hugged them with one hand while her other hand held on to the frying pan.

~~~~~Annika was barely ten, when she was first adopted into a family.
Little Annika was so happy that she was wanted by someone, accepted by someone.
Annika had been worried when all the other kids get adopted while she was being left behind but she was now happy that a nice couple adopted her.
But the happiness disappeared as soon as the couple took her to their home after finishing the formalities.
They were nice and smiling in the orphanage while as soon as they reached home, they glared at her and Annika didn't know what she did.
They made her do all sort of chores, from cleaning to gardening.
Little Annika's hands were full of scratches and it was worse enough to bleed.
Annika may not know the world enough in her age but she did know that no parents would treat their children like this.
It's not normal..
At first she wanted to be with a family but if this was how a family was, she doesn't want one.
Annika could do chores without any struggle but what got her was the room they put her in after she finished work..
It's not even a room, more like a cabinet, she was woken up early to do chores daily and was put in here if they don't need her.
