Truth Or Dare-Chapter Eighteen

I decided I owed Spencer an apology for bailing on him like that last night. After a long day at school, especially because Caroline sat me down in the cafeteria and told me that Elena was sired to Damon.
I drove my way to a motel out of town and knocked on his room number, I got a bit of dust on my knuckle. Probably because the motel looked cheap and almost abandoned, obviously not because Spencer was staying there right? When I imagined where he was staying I wouldn't of thought this, maybe like a place like a rich five star hotel. Finally the door opened revealing Spencer who was wearing normal shirt and jeans, instead of a suit. 'Oh, Leah.' He sounded surprised to see me. 'Come in.' He held the door open for me and I walked in. The placed was small, there was a mini fridge, television and a bed. I assumed there was a bathroom in the next room. 'So what do I owe the pleasure?' He asked and took a seat on the bed, I just stood there awkwardly. 'I wanted to apologise for bailing on you last night. It wasn't my intention.... Things just got complicated.' I explained, trying to sound convincing but my voice was small. He smiled. 'Yeah I saw you with the hybrid Klaus.' My knees locked in place when I heard the word hybrid, he knew? 'Yeah I know about vampires. Especially when he kills your wife.' He then vampire sped up to me and pinned me against the wall. He pulled my hair to the side and traced my bare neck with his finger. 'I do like you, no hard feelings but an eye for an eye.' He hissed and chuckled as I screamed out. 'No one can hear you.' He then pulled my hair and slammed my head against the wall. I wanted to break free but he was to strong. Veins appeared under his blood shot eyes and he went to bite my neck but someone pulled him off me. I saw Klaus push the guy onto the ground and started choking him, my mouth ran dry. The originals eyes turned yellow and he growled at Spencer. 'I should've recognised you.' He snarled down upon the vampire. Spencer clawed at Klaus but he didn't flinch, I looked away as Klaus pulled Spencer's heart out when I looked back over he was grey and stone cold. 'How did you know I was here?' I asked trying not to look down at the dead vampire at my feet, Klaus got up standing in front of me. Suddenly realisation hit me. 'You followed me?' He frowned at me and nodded. 'I promised you I would protect you.' I didn't understand why he felt so guilty about it, he had just saved my life. It took me a while to process what had just happened though. I bit my lip looking up at him. 'Why did you kill his wife?' He was silent for a moment, I assumed going back into his memories. 'She was sick and wanted me to put her out of her misery. Back then there was no treatment for her condition.' He then put his hand on my waist and directed me out of the motel.

The moon started to rise as we got back to Klaus's mansion. It made me think of all the fun Bonnie,Caroline and Elena were having while I was almost killed... Again. 'You somehow are always in danger, very accident prone.' He stated and played with the collar of my shirt. 'Is that why you followed me?' I asked breathing in his scent, he had a faint smell of cologne. He frowned and in return I laughed. 'Loosen up I'm just joking.'. Every time I tried to stay away from Klaus I was always drawn back to him, like a satellite. I knew I couldn't stay away from him anymore, whether I tried to fight it or not.

Caroline,Stefan and I went to go find Elena and April. Caroline had the stake so Stefan and I were distraction plans. 'I am sorry about what I did and I know it's unforgivable.' Stefan blurted out as we wandered the halls of the school. I scoffed. 'Stefan, now is not the time to talk about this. Besides I already said I'd work on things between us.' I folded my arms, looking into classroom Windows and corridors. 'Okay, forget I mentioned it.' He mumbled and started texting Caroline. I stammered at the sight of Rebekah Mikaelson. 'S-Stefan.' He finally drew his attention from his phone to Rebekah, seeing her standing there. 'I'm here what do you want?' He asked her and I walked beside him as he gained closer to the original. 'What I wanted when you helped Niklaus stake me.' She told us and we looked at each other for a moment, I gulped down my fear. 'The cure.' She nodded at my words and attacked Stefan, she locked him in a choke hold and pinned him up against the lockers. Stefan soon took control and they switched positions. 'I hope you're not waiting for Caroline to get here a stake me, I already got to her.' She announced holding up the stake and Stefan unleashed her. Rebekah grabbed us by our collars like dogs, dragging us along with her. Once we got into a little classroom we saw Caroline,April and Elena all sitting around a table. 'Stefan.' Elena breathed out and stood up out of her seat. 'Did I say you could move?' Rebekah hissed at Elena, she then released Stefan and I. I quickly scrambled to a seat next to Caroline. 'You have all been compelled so that means no disobedience, no leaving and answering all my questions honestly.' She then whispered in Aprils ear. 'Take notes this is how you get answers in this town.'  She then looked around at all of us sitting at the table.'Perfect. Now let's start with a quiz shall we. In the year of eleven fourteen, thanks to yours truly my brother found a brotherhood of vampire hunters that tattoos grew with each kill. These tattoos revealed what, Elena?' Elena didn't want to answer Rebekah's question, but she knew she had to because she had been compelled. 'A map.' The original nodded, turning to Caroline. 'Which lead to?' Caroline sighed before answering. 'The cure to vampirism.' Rebekah continued to circle the table like a shark. 'Good. So we are all caught up. Now Stefan Salvatore last time we spoke you had a vampire hunter and in order to decode the map you needed the sword, which you got out of me using some very dirty tricks. Assuming you all got the sword and the cure, but you're all sitting here vampires. Which means something went wrong.' She then turned to April Young. 'What are you doing?' Rebekah questioned and April stopped writing to look up at her. 'You told me to take notes.' This made the original laugh loudly. 'I was being sarcastic, but now you mention it a flow chart would be nice and index cards. Go fetch.' April got up out of her seat and Rebekah watched her walk away for a minute, she quickly turned back to us all. I felt the fear I swallowed come back up. 'We don't know anything.' I mumbled but she brushed this off, looking over to Stefan. 'Didn't you say you would do anything to save Elena, even if it meant taking the cure yourself and growing old with her.' Elena looked over at Stefan her eyes gleaming but he was emotionless. 'Why do you look so surprised?' She looked down at Elena. 'What did I miss?' Caroline looked like she was about to vomit, like she couldn't hold it in anymore. 'They broke up okay. Now let us go.' The original shook her head in amusement. 'Broke up? But I thought Elena was your epic love. I asked you a question you have to tell me.' I watched as Stefan glared at Elena before stating that she slept with Damon, Rebekah snorted at this news. I didn't understand why she wanted to include herself in the drama. 'So vampire Elena has a thing for bad boys.' Rebekah stated, pointing out the obvious. 'But what it doesn't explain is why innocent, sweet, Elena would be so heartless towards Stefan?' She bent down next to Elena, waiting for someone to speak up. 'She didn't know it at the time but she was sired to Damon.' Stefan stated sourly and once again Rebekah seemed amused, she then compelled Elena to confess her feelings for Damon and Stefan, towards the end she was left crying. 'Now...' She trailed off looking at me, she currently was feeling on cloud nine, all the power she had in her clutches. 'So now that that's been cleared up how about we indulge in another secrecy.' The original turned to me and I almost choked under her gaze. 'Leah, the fragile human slept with my brother Niklaus, an original hybrid.' Caroline threw her hands in the air and I almost threw up, I couldn't believe everyone knew now. 'This has not gone to do with the cure.' She protested and Rebekah nodded in agreement. 'Okay now that's that. How about someone tell me where to find the cure.' Stefan folded his arms and leaned back in his chair, his face was hard and stern. 'There is a professor who knows where it is.'
