Chapter 24: Run

I spent the whole day with Seokjin. We talked about mine and Jungkook's situation and he told me many fun facts about Jungkook. We also talked about the other girls and what had happened to Sohyun. After dinner, I decided to go back to my room. 

As I turned the corner at the top of the stairs, I saw a guard coming towards me. It was Jimin.  As he approached me, he stopped to give me a random bow. 

"Paper crane," He whispered than continued to walk. 

I stood there confused. But then it hit me and I ran up the stairs to my room.  I open the door and saw that Ara wasn't in my room, I went over to my nightstand where I left the paper crane and saw another one next to it.  I unfolded the crane and saw a letter telling me to go somewhere. 

I guess me and Jimin had another secret date. 

I walked towards the wall that was in my hallway since my room was all the way in the back in the corner no one really came here. Also, all the girls that slept in my hallway are gone so I didn't have to be careful with walking outside. I pushed the wall and it slowly open. It was super dark. 

"Jimin?" I whispered as I walked slowly with my hand out, scared that I would hit something. 

"Just like old times," I heard his voice but couldn't see him. 

"Jimin, where are you?" I stopped walking and tried to figure out where he was. Then I felt someone's hands around my waist. 

"OMFG! You fucken scared me!" I screamed. 

"Shhh, you're going to get us caught. The entire palace is going to know we're here if you keep yelling." He laughed. 

"Sorry. How did you even find this? I didn't even know this was here." Jimin backed hugged me as he started walking me towards somewhere. 

"I'm a guard," he said simply. "And I'm very good at what I do. I know the entire grounds of the palace, inside and out. Every last pathway, all the hiding spots, and even most of the secret rooms. I also happen to know the rotations of the guards, which areas are usually the least checked, and the points in the day when the guards are at their fewest. If you ever want to sneak around the palace, I'm the guy to do it with."

"Wow" I mumbled as we sat down on the ground. "Are you sure this is safe? I'm not supposed to do this, I don't want us to end up like Sohyun and Baekhyun." I said pulling his hands away from my waist. 

"Trust me, Hwa. I would never let that happen to you." 

He put his hands back on me, pulling me closer. 

"How are you doing?" He asked 

"I don't know. I guess I'm okay. I've been having many different emotions. From sad, to angry to confused. I just wish I could do more than what I'm doing now."  Jimin kissed my head. 

"I'm sorry for yelling at you that day. I know I shouldn't have pulled you away but I didn't want you to get killed. But I'm proud that you did that, that's my girl." 

"Appa was proud too. The queen said It was something I shouldn't have done that but she was proud that I did it. I'm so confused. Did I do the good thing?? Even if it was good, it didn't fix anything." 

"You did the right thing. It meant a lot to me." 

"You" Jimin held me closer. 

"Yeah, every once in a while I wonder if this whole princess thing changed you. Your whole life changed. You've been taken care of and everything you want you to have. I keep wondering if you were the same Hwa. But because you did that, know I know that you are you and that they haven't taken you away."
