Unknown POV

Now having seen her, knowing exactly who she is now, I can watch her. I stare through the vision sphere, a large quartz ball, in front of me, seeing that she is sleeping now, but the day shall start soon. I am almost proud of what she has done, taking over the facility. My pride, however, does not last long.

When she awakes, she moves onto the next part of her plan; She is going to send a letter to the King to come and see what she had done to his laboratory. This certainly will not end well.

Endress, you fool! Again, she is not thinking this through. Oh well, nothing I can say to her from here. I stand up and move away from the vision sphere, toward the wide door. I leave the room, to be faced by the people who had been waiting outside. They are always listening in now, whenever I go in that room.

"Diana," I say, ignoring their questioning eyes "Tell the council that I will be leaving. Warn them to prepare for it to be my final leave.". Diana, the blaze girl with a white patch on her cheek, walks off without explanation.

"Ah, miss? What have you been doing in there? I don't mean to be rude, but we're worried about you." David, a man of magma, tells me. Choosing his next words carefully, he continues "You've been pushing off responsibility, haven't been Settling, and you haven't even killed anyone in a while."

I wonder, for a moment, if I am going to tell him. These people in front of me have been with me forever, and we are no stranger to lies, but we agree not to lie to each other. These people are the closest thing I will ever have to friends.

This is foolish personal business though. I cannot tell them this. So I do not, without lying either "I am going to visit an old ally. They went against our terms. I will be back eventually.". With that, I turn and walk down to the other end of the hall, and go into the portal room.

Standing in front of the Nether portal, I say "Take me outside of where Endress Keyia is held."

Endress POV

After my watching shift, the other dragons watching and I go down to the bed halls. Someone found out while checking down their hall, that the humans running this laboratory also lived here, slept here. I assume not all of them slept at the same time. There's not enough rooms for everyone. There's easily enough material to make more beds though, so some of us double up and go to our rooms.

I'm assigned with someone named Vexiva, someone who can form electricity shields, because they don't want me getting hurt in a surprise attack. As if I cant protect myself.

I don't get to sleep very easily, with the mounting paranoia that the humans could come as we sleep, but I am certain that no one can get through our force of dragons. I let that thought ease me to sleep.

It's almost a surprise when I wake up and everyone is just.. standing around in their positions, rather bored. No one had come down the road all night, and it doesn't look like anyone's coming now. The King may not even suspect a thing.

That's good news, because no dragon got hurt through the night, and I still get to rub it in the kings face that we are stronger than his humans. So with that, I head to the Communications Room.

As soon as I step into the room again, I'm met with angry bird chirping. It surprises me, since I hadn't seen or heard the birds yesterday. When I start listening to their chirps though, understanding them, it turns out they're just demanding food. They probably haven't been fed since yesterday morning.
