Polar woke up in a cave cut off with rocks. Tidepool was still asleep next to him.

What happened? Polar thought, as he sat up.

"Ah, good thee has awoken," a familiar voice said, "Thee must answer thy questions given to thee."

Polar looked at her confused, still unable to understand her. She sensed this and said, "It means I'm going to ask you some questions and you have to answer them."

"Can you just talk normally," Polar asked. She put her talons up to her chest and said, "How dare you! That severely hurts my feelings, and is an insult to all bats."

Polar laughed, waking up Tidepool. She murmered something angrily and sat up.

"Hey, could you do me a favor and let me out of here," Polar asked.

The dragon just laughed and said no. After asking them about 15 questions, she let Polar and Tidepool go. She always referred to herself as a bat, which Polar thought was weird.

"Hey," Polar asked, "What's your name?"

Instead of answering, she just glared at him and turned her head away.

"Follow me, my father wishes to speak with you," she said, "and I will 'quote on quote' translate for you."

"Nobody says quote on quote, they just do it with their talons," Polar said, demonstrating how to do it.

"Shh we're here," unknown bat dragon said. They walked through the caves for what seemed like forever, until they reached the bat nesting grounds.

An old fruit bat stood up and started to speak, "Thy wants to know what thee is doing outside thy caves," he said hanging upside down on his perch.

"He wants to know what you are doing here," bat dragon said.

"We didn't know that your cave was inhabited. We were just speaking a safe-ish area," Polar responded.

"Thee didn't have the knowledge of thy in thy caves. Thee wished for a safe area to speak with thy associate, father," bat dragon translated.

Her father whispered something to her, causing bat dragon to tell Polar and Tidepool to go wait outside the cave.
