Chapter 7

The next night after Derek was completely healed. After I nearly handcuffed him to get him to relax. The jokes about me wanting to handcuff him were limitless. Who knew Derek Hale had a sense of humor?

I decided to go and hang out with Scott. But I made Derek promise to relax. He said he would. I didn't believe him but he said he would so, ignorance is bliss in this case anyway.

We went to pick up food for his mother. I was switching between talking to him and then ignoring him for long periods of time. "Are you seriously still pissed at me for what happened at the Motel?" Scott asks, after he tried to get me to talk to him, we were walking out of the Taco Bell and I was lightly swinging the bag as we walked back to the bike.

"Yup." I made the 'p' pop.

"I will buy you another  taco if you say you forgive me." He says and  he made an act of giving me his puppy dog eyes. I let out a sigh.

"Fine. But I'll hold you to that taco."

Emily loves her Mexican.  I smirk at him.

"Deal." He says with a smile.

He hopped on his dirt bike and I hopped on it and held onto to him. He gave me an extra helmet and we drove off to the hospital.

When we got there a wave of relief washed over Melissa and a weight looked like it was lifted off of her shoulders. She was probably glad that she doesn't have to worry about me and Scott being in this train wreck of a waiting area. It literally looked like everyone in here got hit by a freaking train. She walks toward us smiling. I'm holding the food so I hand it to her with a smile. "I'm starving." She takes the food and turns her back to get back to work. She turns back around. "I'm so sorry. Thank you both for bringing me dinner." She hugs us both. I stand there surprised at the hug.

She releases us and Scott comments on Melissa's demeanor "Is everything okay?" Scott questions.

"Except for half the accident victims in a 10 car pile-up being rerouted here from downtown, and the ER attending not answering any of his pages? Yeah I'm okay." She replies. She looked exhausted.

"What does 'not answering pages' mean?" Scott questions.

"It means nobody can find him. So now we have to wait for the on-call to get here." She replies.

A women clearly in pain comes up to us breaking into our conversation, she's holding herself. "Miss?" She mutters painfully.

 "Yes?" Mama McCall answered.

"Excuse me. Can I please have something for the pain?" The women pleads.

"Okay, I'm sorry. I know. But actually giving you something could complicate things, so...We really just need to wait for the doctors, okay?" She helps the women back to her seat and turns back to the nurse at the phone. "Okay, how much longer on Dr. Hilyard?"

"Ten minutes." The Nurse replies.

Scott and I share a look. We can do something to help her.

We got to sit down on either side of the women. "Uh.. You know, I think I read online that sometimes human contact can help with pain." Scott says. She whimpers. Scott and I look around and make sure no one is watching then Scott takes his hand and touches her hand then his veins turn black.

The startled look of relief  makes me look at Scott and smile. She looks at Scott and gives him a smile. I look over at the door and I see someone else being dragged in and it's Danny. My eyes get wide and I shoot up and I see Ethan dragging Danny in. I run over to them.
