Chapter 19

(Scarlett's PoV)

I  am so stupid! I should've shot Star Scream as soon as I saw him walking toward the relic!

"The Apex Armor," Optimus muttered, but I managed to hear it. Scrap, I heard about this. Oh. . .oh I am so screwed. I regretted not shooting him before, but now I really regret not shooting him before!!! How did I not realize as soon as the armor went on him what armor it was?! Optimus stood up, readied his weapon, Dread Wing redirected his sword that was once pointed to Optimus now toward Star Scream, and I had my weapons ready.

"You dare claim that which rightly belongs to Lord Megatron?!" Dread Wing snapped.

"And what do you intend to do about it? Commander?" Star Scream asked with a laugh. Dread Wing charged at Star Scream but his blade hardly even scratched that armor. Star Scream merely laughed as he pushed Dread Wing, sending him a decent distance back.

"Not so big and strong now, are you? I haven't had this much fun sense I punched that hole through Cliff Jumper!!" Star Scream laughed. OK THAT IS ENOUGH I AM TIRED OF THIS! "Allow me to reunite you with your beloved twin!" Star Scream exclaimed but before he went to terminate Dread Wing, Optimus punched him. I snuck around behind Star Scream as he yelled at Optimus. When he threw Optimus I ran up and kicked Star Scream in the back. The force, and Sta Scream's surprise caused him to fall forward, and I rushed over toward Optimus. Dread Wing shot some blasts at Star Scream but was thrown over toward us, and landed a few feet away.

"Dread Wing our battle remains unfinished, but if the three of us do not unite against our common foe," Optimus began.

"Star Scream would destroy all of us," Dread Wing said. Dread Wing handed Optimus a bomb.

"We can draw his attention," I said to Dread Wing, who nodded as we rushed toward Star Scream. Dread Wing and I hardly did anything, but Optimus did his job. The three of us approuched the explosion which did hardly anything. Optimus dealt with Star Scream but Dread Wing told him to fall back, and Optimus drove over to where Dread Wing and I were. Star Scream smiled before getting the notion that we were up to something. Then Dread Wing activated all the bombs that were place around Star Scream. The three of us quickly ran  as the bombs blew a hole in the ice that Star Scream fell down.

"Now that our alliance has served it's purpose," Dread Wing began.

"Star Scream is gone and the Apex Armor with him," I said.

"Is there really a reason to renew battle? The goal has been lost," Optimus asked.

"We have other unfinished matters," Dread Wing growled. Oh, he's talking about SkyQuake. Well then he probably won't care for me then sense I wasn't there, but I'm going to help Optimus fight any way.

"I bore SkyQuake no malice, and I regret the role I played in his demise. So I will apeal to you, as I once did your twin. Turn your back on the Decepticon cause and help me end this war. For his sake, and all who have fallen," Optimus said. Dread Wing put his sword away.

"You two save my life today, I will terminate both of you the next time we are to meet," Dread Wing said as he flew off.

"So be it Dread Wing," Optimus said to himself. I watched Dread Wing fly off. I knew his brother before the war, not much, but I knew their bond was strong. Dread Wing was one of the few Decepticons you could count on to make a short alliance with a not try to kill you the second you turn your back. Those were hard to come by. "Scarlett, are you alright?" Optimus asked, snapping me out of my train of thought.

"Yeah, I'm fine. It's just a little scratch, and you?" I asked him.

"I am fine as well," Optimus said. "Raffiel, bridge us back," Optimus continued. I learned a lot on this mission. Star Scream is more annoying than I thought, he's also smarter than I thought (can't believe I just said that), and I have a scar where I was shot. Seriously, how did I not notice that? Now not only do I have memories of that painful moment, I have a physical reminder too, hooray!
