Chapter 27

(Knock Out's PoV)

Well, now Dread Wing's dead. I knew that fight wouldn't end well. Anyway, Star Scream and I were trying to figure out how the keys worked.

"Tick-tock, Knock Out, tick-tock! Megatron's expecting results and given what we just witnessed I would say we cannot afford to disappoint our master," Star Scream said.

"We? Unless nagging counts, I haven't seen you lift a finger!" I snapped.

"I am the one who brought the keys! Do I really need to prove myself further by deciphering how they operate too?"

"Well perhaps if my research wouldn't have been sidelined by someone's cosmetic surgery, I'd be further along right now!"

"Ugh, just give it here!" he said as he pulled it out of my hand. He started repeatedly slamming it against the table.

"Oh gee, why did I think of that?!" I snapped at him.

"Ugh!" Star Scream snapped as he scratched my paint work with one of the keys. I picked one of the other keys and went to hit him with it but he blocked it with another. Then the two merged together.

"Do you think. . .," I began as we picked up the other two and slammed them together. All four of them merged, and showed the location of the Omega Lock.

"That is why Dread Wing is pushing up lug nuts," Star Scream said.

"And we are not," I said.

(Scarlett's PoV)

I could hardly believe it! With the Forge our ground bridge is now a space bridge! But Megatron has discovered that the Omega Lock was on Cybertron. We were using every relic we had. As we got ready to go Optimus walked out with a new Star Saber he had made.

"Megatron must be defeated, no matter what the cost," Optimus said as we transformed and headed through the bridge. This was it. This determines nearly everything. I can't back down now, and actually it's a little easier doing this knowing that Megatron heard what I told Smoke Screen. But, not by much. Smoke Screen had snuck up on the 'cons using the phase shiftier, Bee used the device to pick up objects and threw them onto the 'cons, Bulk froze some in place with the immobilizer, Arcee had the Apex Armor, and now the four of us were running straight ahead toward the 'cons. The fight was intense and Optimus was taking on Megatron. Fighting in the Sea of Rust was crazy, but we got the Omega Keys. We headed out while Smoke Screen went back and used the spark extractor on Megatron's troops.

"Our head start won't last long," I said.

"This is where Alpha Trion said we'd find it right?" Smoke Screen asked.

"These are the coordinates, although it doesn't look like much," Bulk said. But it was the Omega Lock.

"According to Alpha Trion the Omega Lock is a condiment to the very All Spark itself," Optimus said.

"Optimus, an honor like this shouldn't belong to me," Smoke Screen said but jut then the keys began to glow. We looked up at the Omega Lock but then Megatron arrived.

""Hand over the Omega Keys," Megatron said.

"And why would we do that?" I asked and he gave me a look. Then a bridge opened up behind him as Star Scream, Sound Wave, and Knock Out walked through with. . .the kids?!?

"So that I may hand over the humans," Megatron said.

"And if we refuse?" Optimus asked.

"Then I will have no choice but to open the pods, exposing your pets to Cybertron's toxic atmosphere," Megatron explained as he approuched Optimus. "And then, we can all watch them instantly perish, together," he finished.
