•Riki's P.O.V•

"How's your mum now?"Richard asked as he dried his hair with his towel looking at me.

"I spoke to her last night."I replied as i dried my legs with the towel and looked up at Richard. "She said she's better then before."

"Hopefully she gets better."Richard said with a smile on his face. "Then she can make me that famous pasta of hers."

I let out a soft chuckle. "So what's the plan for today?"

"Well I'm planning to get vi's lazy ass out of that bed and then we just chill out I guess?"Richard replied with a shrug of his shoulder. "Zabdiel and Erick are going to be here in a bit."

"What about Yashua?"

"He doesn't want to go out because of his leg."Richard replied with another shrug of his shoulder. "He's gone really boring lately."

"Well he just did break his leg so.."I trailed off as I looked at Richard with are you really look.

Richard threw his towel at me. "Let me go and get Vienna's lazy ass awake!" He ran inside.

I let out a soft chuckle, I put the towel on the deck chair as I put on my tank top then picked up the towels and walked inside the house.

I put the towels in the washing machine then looked up to see uncle pap walking into the room with uncle helping him.

He sat down and looked at uncle. "I need a glass of water."

Uncle nodded and quickly got him a glass of water, uncle looked at uncle pap. "You have to start taking things easy."

"No Matt, I've got responabitles that I can't just let go of."Uncle pap spoke, his voice ever so croaky."This illness isn't going to take over my life."

Illness?

I let out a cough making my presence noticed, Uncle turned over his shoulder and looked at me. "Riki?"

"Morning uncle, just brought the dirty towels that me and Richard had."

Uncle nodded then let out a sigh. "How much of the conversation did you hear?"

"Much to know that something serious is going on."I replied as I let out a sigh. "What's going on?"

Uncle pap looked at me. "Ay mami, you've gone so big and tall from the last time I saw you."

"Yeah I know."

"I'm sorry Riki that I haven't seen you since you've come."Uncle pap said as he let out a sigh. "Maybe we could so something together in a few days?"

"I would love that."

Uncle looked at me. "How's your mum holding up?"

"She said she's getting better."I replied with a shrug of my shoulder. "She said not to worry either."

"Mhm.. Well I'm going to call her a little later on too."Uncle added.

Uncle pap let out another sigh and took a sip of his water then looked at me. "C'mon Chico, tell me what question is lingering on your mind."

"Does Vienna know that you are sick?"I asked as I looked at him with a worried look. "How sick are you?"

"Chico, Vienna can't know because then she won't focus on getting what she wants in life."Uncle Pap replied as he looked at me with a sincere look. "I have to hide it from her, from herself because it's better like that."

"You can't though, my mum hid it from me and I found out."I said as my eyes brimmed with tears. "It killed me when I found out from an appointment letter that she's dying, it numbers everything."

"No Riki, your mum did that for you to live your life like we are doing for Vienna."Uncle said as he looked at me.

"No it doesn't, you do it for yourself so it doesn't became a reality for you."I said as I let out a sigh. "You have to tell Vienna."

"I understand Riki, she will know but not right now."Uncle pap said as he looked at me. "Don't tell her."

"How sick are you?"I asked as I let out a sigh.

The doorbell rang, Uncle let out a sigh and walked out of the kitchen to answer the door.

"I'm sick but not that sick."Uncle pap replied as he began to looked down at his fingers.

I knew he was lying.

"You are lying."

Zabdiel and Erick walked into the kitchen, they said hello to uncle pap then looked at me. "Ready to go?"

"Im just going to get changed."I said with a nod then walked out of the kitchen.

Uncle nodded at Vienna, Vienna left and walked upstairs.

Uncle looked at me and let out a sigh. "Vienna is not allowed to know."

"Yeah I know."

"This stays between me, you and uncle pap."Uncle said sternly as he looked at me. "She can't even get a whiff of this."

"I know uncle."

She was already hiding so much from me, I had to hide something from her too I guess.

"I'm going to get the pizza leaflet."Uncle said then walked into te kitchen leaving me alone.

I sat down on the couch, my phone pinged and I pulled out my phone to see it was a message from Chris.

Chris~ Hey, want to hang out tomorrow?

Me~ What about your friend Joel?

Chris~ busy with his girlfriend.

Me~ The other one which you can play connect the dots with on his face?

Chris~ Busy with his girl too.

Me~ yeah sure, where?

Chris~ park on the north side of avenue.

Me~ don't know where that is...

Chris~ Vienna would know, ask her to come alot with you.

Me~ why?

Chris~ just.

Chris~ she is okay isn't she?

Me~ why the sudden interest in my cousin for?

Chris~ no reason why.

Chris~ I do talk to her time to time though.

Me~ hmmm....

Chris~ Just come and ask her to come with you.
