Changing lives constantly: The prequel

CHAPTER 3:6

I lay there in the dark room with my blanket on and tugged at the material holding me. I had to leave this room as fast as possible l mean l can't possibly stay here after all the took place before and wait for him to come back and rape me. Once the material became loose enough, l slipped my hands out and rubbed my wrists because it hurt a lot from the tugging. I hesitantly sat up and let out a quiet whimper due to the searing pain l felt in my back side. I'm never having sex again in this body especially with a man. I might just commit suicide instead since l felt violated and it was not a good feeling. After getting used to the pain, l stood up and went to the door to listen and see whether Eric was still in his office. I think l heard him walk out and close the door so l opened the door slightly and tiptoed out in just a blanket. There were no clothes in the office and l know this because l thoroughly checked. I got out a pen and piece of paper and wrote down all my feelings down as well as a promise to avoid him to the best of my ability thinking 'It's all good now. Hopefully he leaves me alone this time.'  I unbolted the door and stuck my head out to see if anyone was there in the corridor before slipping out and running so fast out of there. Once l got back to my room, l quickly got dressed and headed to the prayer room to repent. On my way there, l passed by a group of people that were harassing the female lead and throwing stones at her as well as accusations like "She's a whore that's the only way she got to be a priestess" and "she's a woman! How can she do a good job?" And l was innocently passing by but when an assigned priest came to protect her everyone noticed her presence and quickly put the blame on me. "It was all Su Lou's fault. He was the one that told us to do this!" "No wait what? I was just passing by! How could l have told you to do it from so far away?" "You told us it yesterday after your meeting with the pope!" And l couldn't say anything back otherwise l'd have to explain what l was doing in the office for so long. "So it seems that Su Luo was involved. Can you follow me to the lockers where you shall have solitary confinement for three days where you shall have no food or water. This is the punishment for breaking the rules in the chapel." I didn't even do anything!!! Is this the plot moving on? How is it that l was framed? Maybe it was because l was nice and relatively timid so l got bullied.
At the end of it all, l had a depressing time in solitary confinement. It was dark most of the time and there was no bed so l had to sleep on the floor. Also, my backside hurt so much and l didn't even know how to help myself. I spent all the nights not sleeping and just wide awake. This reminded me of my old life. No one to look forward to. No one to go back to. But it didn't really disturb me as much at all. There was really no food or water either so l was extremely hungry by the time l got out of the room. I hope that people didn't keep on blaming me otherwise the world would go back on its course. The best way to do this in my opinion was to transfer to another chapel but l'm not sure whether that pope will allow me to leave. If he doesn't the only other thing l needed to do was accumulate power so l could just spend most of my time in the prayer rooms.
My thoughts were all broken when l saw someone standing in front of me. The woman, graceful as always, looked at me with worry and undisguised pity at my whole situation. "Are you okay? I know what those priests did and God saw everything so don't worry. He'll get revenge for you." "To be honest l haven't really thought about any of these things at all. I just want to go eat food and head to the prayer room to pray." Her eyes sparkled as she regarded me with respect and admiration. Having a good reputation with the Female lead? Check. I'm not trying to hug her thigh. I just want to ensure my safety just in case.
The story is finally back on track. The next chapter will be in two days due to another translation l'm helping with. Sorry in advance. Enjoy!! Angel xxx
