Ade.

"You missed prayers" Tobi said and I avoided his gaze
"I was busy" I said remembering Selene's breakdown and Jay stood up
"Too busy for God?" He asked and I raised my head up and looked into his eyes
"I wasn't busy for God I was just busy with something important" I said and Tobi's gaze hardened
"Too busy with what Ade?" He asked and everyone nodded in response
"My personal life is nobody's business!" I said and Tobi held my hand
"Do you realise the gravity of what you did? You didn't only disrespect God but you also disrespected your Reverend and choir master" he said and I rolled my eyes
"Oh please I'd do it again if I have to do what I was busy with" I said and Kemi turned me to face her
"Apologise to everyone right now!" She yelled and I removed my hand from her grasp
"You're not the boss of me" I replied and turned to walk to the bathroom when Jay spoke up
"Apologise to the choristers Made, or forfeit your position in the Lagos cathedral chorister"

Seriously!?

Esther gasped and went to Jay's side
"I think we should be a little easy on Ade" she said and whispered something in his ears before he blushed, scratched his neck and cleared his throat
"Oh um I didn't realise" he said before looking at me but not meeting my eyes
"Ade didn't mean it, right?" He asked and I nodded
"No, I didn't" I said and Kemi rolled her eyes
"This is partiality" Kemi said before storming into a bathroom.

Child

I pick a gown and went into another bathroom before having my bath and stepping out

Clean and refreshed!

I wore the blue satin gown and socks before wearing buckle shoes and packing my hair
"How do I look?" I asked Esther and she rolled her eyes
"What's up with you Ade?" She asked and sat me down
"You seem mad at Jay" she said and I crossed my arms
"I'm not mad at him" I sighed irritatedly and thanked God when I heard a knock on the door. I was about to get it when Kemi stood up
"Don't worry, I'll get it" she said and opened the door to reveal Selene

"Who are you?" She asked and selene smiled
"Good morning ma'am I'm Selene" she said and looked into the room
"Hey Made!" She greeted and I stood up
"I'm going out Esther"

"I'll come with" she said and I stood up. Selene led the way before eyeing Esther skeptically
"Where are you guys going?" Kemi called from the room and I ignored her
"Let's go Selene" I said and she pulled me towards a balcony.
While I got comfortable on the chair Selene tapped me
"Must she be here?" She motioned to Esther and I looked between two of them confused
"Selene is anything the problem?" I asked and Esther sighed
"Made its nothing" Esther said
"Dad's seeing her" Selene said after Esther and I gasped

This fruit!

How can she be seeing a married man!

I gave her the stink eye and she lowered her gaze.
"I'm with a friend" Selene said to her phone before smiling
"I'm giving the phone to her dad" she said before giving me the phone

Wait what!?

I adjusted my throat and spoke up
"Hello"
"Hi" he said and he  cleared his throat
"Good morning" he said and continued
"I hope Selene isn't bothering you?" He asked and I laughed
"Not at all, she's an angel" I  said
"Made hurry up!" Selene said and he laughed
"I'm Mr Mahone" he said ,and I smiled
"I'm Made" I  said and suddenly Selene collected the phone from me
"Don't miss me too much! Bye daddy!" she said and hung up.
"Let's play time bomb" Selene said and we were about to start when her face lit up like Christmas ornaments
"Let me get dad!" She said and stood up
"I'll be back, don't play without me" she said before running out of the balcony.

Time to question Esther

"Start explaining you have less than ten minutes" I said emotionlessly and Esther sighed
"Ade we aren't seeing each other per say, we're just friends
" friends?" I asked and stood up
"Friends!?" I asked louder
"You're friends to the point that his daughter feel threatened?" I asked and she sighed
"Ade please sit down" I rolled my eyes before sitting down mainly because my legs were aching
"We met three nights ago and you know that moment when you just have chemistry with a person you barely know, i couldn't help it Ade I think I like him" she said and I sighed
"Is he aware of this?" I asked and she sighed sadly
"I don't know, but he's sending signals" she replied

I heard the door open and I turned back to come face to face with a handsome man

Wow no wonder Esther likes him

He was staring at me in shock before meeting Esther's gaze and smiling sadly
"Dad we're playing time bomb" Selene said and her dad, Mr Mahone smiled
"Okay princess" he said and sat on one of the chairs before selene sat beside us.
"Okay let me start" she said before singing
"And if you feel you're sinking I will jump right over into cold cold water for you"
"And although time may take us into different places" Esther sang
"I will still be patient with you" Mr Mahone sang while staring into my eyes

Dang it. I should've listened to Esther's playlists more

I stared at all of them blankly before Selene laughed and Esther smirked
"You're out Ade" Selene laughed and Esther smiled.
"Your turn Esther" Selene said and Esther had a thinking face before smiling evilly
"Girl you know I want your love your love was handmade for somebody like me"
"Come on now follow my lead I may be crazy don't mind me" Selene sand
"Boy let's not talk to much grab on my waist and put that body on me,come on now follow my lead come on now follow my lead" Mr Mahone sang and I racked my brain

I've heard this song!

"I'm in love with the shape of you" I sang confidently and Selene clapped while Mr Mahone's mouth dropped open

"Fade?" He said and I raised my eyebrow
"I don't think that's part of the song Mr Mahone" I said and everyone laughed.
"Let's go for lunch" Esther suggested and everyone agreed.
