"I'll get it" she said and left then Leroy turned to me

"I've missed you" he said and was about to embrace me when I flinched. He looked hurt before coming close again and I closed my eyes preparing for the roughness but it never came

"I'm fine, I um I" I stammered and Leroy pulled me up before turning to Jay
"Excuse us" he began to pull us towards a room and my heart began to pump harder

I opened my eyes abruptly before yanking the oxygen mask up and making a run for the door
"Hey, hey Made, calm down okay, it's just me Jay" Jay said and I shook my head while struggling to free myself from his clutches
"He's going to find me here Jay, I have to run let go!" I cried and he held my shoulders in a tight grip which restricted further movements
"Mademi calm down" he said rubbing my shoulders gently but it felt like officer Jake's filthy arms all over me.
"Stop it!"I yelled and removed his arms
"Don't touch me! Please!" I yelled while taking multiple steps backs. Leroy rushed into the room
"Made calm down" he said and I tried to control my breathing but it wasn't working
"The oxygen face mask Made!" Jay yelled and I picked it up with shaky hands before wearing it and taking a deep breath in. I slowly sat down on the bed and held the mask against my nose before dropping it after my breath became even. I broke into tears and I heard foot steps moving towards me
"Made, all I need from you right now is to open up, I can help you" Leroy said and motioned between him and Jay "We can help you Made" he added and I cried harder.
Jay sat down beside me and I tried to control my racing heart but I couldn't
"Please get up" I pleaded with Jay and he sighed before scooting to the far end of the bed
"I want to talk to Officer Mahone" I whispered and Leroy smiled before going out of the room. Jay looked at me before looking away.

"Made, this place is toxic for you isn't it?" He asked and I met his gaze before looking down again
"Let's go back to Nigeria, after the investigations lets go back" he said and I smiled at the thought of breathing Lagos air and feeling her sun on my skin. Jay smiled at me before scooting closer but not so close
"Made, you mean a lot to me, I came all the way here because of the love that we share" he said and moved a little closer again
"You can tell me anything okay?" He reassured and I broke into tears again. I felt something soft on my face and opened my eyes to see a blurry outline of a hanky. I collected it and dabbed my tears with it before looking at Jay
"You're going to hate me " I whispered and he shook his head before moving even closer
"I love you so much to hate you Mademi" he said and slowly to my Palm
"You can tell me" he said and I took a deep breath before locking gazes with him
"I" I started and he gave my Palm a reassuring squeeze "I.....I" I kept on repeating the same thing and Jay smiled

"I was raped" I said and his face fell before his expression changed
" What?" He asked and I sighed shakily

"After" I said and his eyes became red with tears
"Made I " he started before shaking his head and opening his arms. I scooted towards him and place my head on his chest with my arms around him. He patted my hair and we stayed like that until it was time to go back to Leroy's
