I stood in front if the door and raised my hand to knock

Wait

I breathed into my palm and sniffed it before sighing

Thank God it smells more of sprite than alcohol

I finally had the courage to knock after confirming my breath. I waited for a while before I heard shuffling before the lock was turned and Kemi's face came into view

Why

I smiled the sweetest fake smile and she fell for it before opening the door wider.
"She's back" Kemi announced and I seethed silently

Must she announce?

I smiled another fake smile and Esther jumped on my causing me to wheeze

Can't breathe

She seemed to read my mind before she let go of me apologizing profusely then whacking my back multiple times
"Oh Lord have mercy!" I yelled as I tried to dodge the abaras that Esther aimed at my back. The choristers laughed at my plight while Esther continued her attack
"Esther stop, please" I said as I felt tears welling up due to the pain. She eyed me like an evil fruit that she is before letting go of me and sitting down
"Where were you?" She asked and I felt a tear drop
"That really hurt!" I deadpanned and she rolled her eyes
"That isn't an explanation" she replied and I sighed
"I got into a situation" I said not wanting to reveal Davis's and I's little encounter.

She stood up and walked close to me before whispering in my ear
"Did that situation involve Davis because I can smell his Cologne all over that shirt"

Shoot me

I was looking for an answer when I heard my name and turned around
"Jay" I said and before I could add to my statement, he embraced me

In front of everyone

"Jay" I whispered and he held me tighter
"I was so scared, so worried" he said and knotted his fingers in my hair before pulling me out of the room ,  ignoring everyone's shocked faces. He pulled me into his room and searched my face frantically before hugging me again.
"Where were you?" He asked and I sighed
"Jay I can explain, I" he interrupted me with a quick kiss on my lips before hugging me again
"Don't ever scare me like that Mademi" he said and I smiled
"I won't"
"I'm sorry about yesterday morning, I really am" he said and connected our lips again before pulling out and hugging me

Wow he was really worried

And I was with another man

Well technically captured but nevertheless

"Let's go on a date right now"
"Um, I'm a little tired Jay" I replied wanting to be out of the gown and hide the shirt that Jay had failed to notice.
"Made come on" he said and I sighed
" I don't have a Choice do I?" I asked and he smirked
"No"

Fruits!

"Let me freshen up" I said and he threw a towel at me

I stared at him wide eyed and he laughed
"Have your bath and I'll get clothes for you to wear" he said and walked out of the room

Wow

I entered the bathroom and used his shampoo to bathe before wearing a robe and waiting for him outside. He came in with some clothes andi rolled my eyes
"Let me guess, Esther picked them out" I stated and he smiled while handing them to me.

The clothe comprised of skinny jeans, ankle boots, panties a black sports bra and a black and gold floral top.

Wait I didn't pack these
Ohh Esther packed my luggage

I groaned as I stormed into the bathroom and wore the clothing.

Wow too much figure is showing!

I knew it. I knew that fruit wanted something to happen between us

But I look kinda nice

Gosh everyone will be staring at me. I walked slowly out of the bathroom with the clothe that I wore before and Jay's mouth dropped
"Wow Made, you look" he said then paused
"I look?" I urged and he smiled
"Beautiful" he said and pecked my cheek
"Let's go for prayers" I said then led us back to the choristers. Kemi eyed me and Esther winked making me to blush and glare daggers at her.

Tobi led the prayers and Jay caressed my hand throughout making me to feel guilty.

Esther went out and Jay pulled me up and was about to lead me out when Kemi stopped him

"Jay, what's going in between the two of you?" She asked and everyone murmured

Gosh what is her business?

"Made is just a very good friend of mine"

Wait what?

I stared at him and he avoided my gaze before continuing
"And I was worried when she didn't stay overnight, I'm sure you understand that feeling" He said and Kemi smiled
"I totally do"

I slowly removed my palm from his before smiling
"I have to go somewhere" I said and Jay held my wrist
"Let's go together"
"No" I said quickly and he looked at me with pleading eyes
"Esther and I have something to do" I added and removed his fingers from my wrist
"Sorry I made you all worried" I said to everyone and they laughed telling me it was okay. I turned and walked out of the room towards the reception and felt someone turn me
"Made please" he pleaded and I stared at him
"Forget it Jay" I sighed and tried removing hand from my upper arm but he just held it down

Great now my two arms are trapped

"Made I'm sorry I didn't declare our relationship, I don't want people to know about it" he said and I rolled my eyes
"You don't want people or the church to know about it?"
"Made please"
"Its fine" I forced out a laugh and pried my hands away from his
"Its totally fine"

Lies

"Made don't do this" Jay pleaded and I sighed
"I want to be alone" I said and walked away from him.
