i open my eyes as the light from the sun shined in the dark room.
i roll to my side, to see colby still sleeping. he looks so calm when he sleeps. his messy hair, the way his eyes flutter every once in a while, the way his whole body rises as he inhales. everything about him is so perfect. so incredibly perfect.
i can't help but watch him as he sleeps. it may sound weird, but i just can't look away. i love him so much. i never thought i'd be waking up next to someone i love so much.
i see his eyes flutter and this time they open. he sees me looking at him and a small smile appears on his face as his eyes struggle to stay open.
"good morning colbs" i whisper.
"good morning baby girl" he smirks.
i start to get out of bed as he pulls me back and cuddles me.
"i want to go downstairs and watch some tv, before the others get up. you know they hog the tv all day" i laugh.
"y/n just wait. five more minutes. please." he whines, holding out the "e" sound.
i continue to get out of bed and start downstairs. i turn around and see a shirtless colby with only his gray sweatpants on following me downstairs.
i curl up on the couch as colby joins me, snuggling himself on top of me.
i turn on the tv and go to netflix, to watch the office.
i start to play with colby's messy bed hair as the theme song starts to play. i look down at him and see him asleep on my chest. i grab a blanket and pull it over us, making sure he's nice and warm.
the roommates start to wake up and make their ways downstairs to get food.
"oh my god" elton starts.
"what?" i whisper, being careful to not wake colby up.
"you guys are too cute" elton giggles.
he is then followed by sam, corey, devyn, and aaron.
elton pointed at us as they all started cooing over us with multiple "aw"s and "how cute"s.
"guys! be quiet! he's sleepy!" i giggled, pointing at colby.
"well if you guys are just gonna be watching tv, i'm gonna join you" sam laughs.
everyone else joins too, as we all laugh at the inappropriate jokes on the office. yet, i still have to remind them to stay quiet so colby can rest.
i feel his weight on me, making me feel at home. i feel his arms wrapped around my waist, making me feel safe. i feel his head, resting on my chest, making me feel loved. and i can feel his breathing, making me feel overwhelmed with love for this boy.
i start to play with his hair again, twirling it and watching it come undone.
after a while, i see his eyes start to flutter, like they do when he's in a deep sleep, knowing he's going to wake soon. i rub his back, trying to keep him sleeping. he deserves to rest. he's been working so hard lately.
his eyes open as turns his head to look up at me.
"good morning sleepy" i smile.
"hi baby" he half-smirks, obviously still waking up.
everyone on the couch starts to coo again, causing colby to turn and look at them.
"when did you guys get here?" he looks confused, causing everyone to laugh.
"nice to finally see you!" elton chuckles.
we all spend a few more hours sitting, watching tv, and laughing. colby is still snuggled up to me, his warmth cozying my entire body.
i love him.
