Chapter 29: Sayonara, Japan (ft. Farewell To You My Friend by Raymond Lauchengco)
"Chumoku no jokyaku. Manila-iki no furaito 101 ga genzai tojodesu. Kokuki ni tojo shite kudasai. Attention passengers. Flight 101 bound for Manila is now boarding. Please board the aircraft."
Tinignan ko yung relo ko, 12 midnight na. Yan yung oras na sinabi samin na flight namin pabalik ng Maynila. It's time, babalik na kami sa Pilipinas. Dumating kami dito sa Tokyo International Airport mga 11:30. Sa kae-enjoy namin sa pagne-net (Oo, may WiFi dito sa airport) at pagkwekwentuhan, di namin namalayan na oras na naming umalis.
Napabuntung-hininga ako. Ayoko pa eh, ayoko pang umalis ng Japan. I don't wanna leave yet. Why do good times have to end so soon? Pero wala akong magagawa. Hindi naman kasi kami taga-Japan eh. Hayy.
Humarap ako sa mga Japanese friends namin, siyempre sumama sila samin. Sabi nila na gusto nilang samahan kami hanggang sa pag-alis. Hayy, I'll miss them terribly. Ngayon palang eh nalulungkot ako, how much more pag nasa 'Pinas na kami?

We laugh for a moment and start to cry
We were crazy

"Guys, I guess this is it," sabi ko. "We gotta go."
"We're gonna miss you," malungkot na sabi ni Ayaka. "Joy-chan, even though we've only stayed together for a month, you've been a great friend to me. I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you too, Ayaka-chan." Niyakap ko siya ng mahigpit.
Ayaka Shimizu. She's my first foreign friend, as in, kauna-unahang friend ko na hindi Pinoy. Kung tutuusin, parang bestfriends na nga kami sa sobrang close na namin eh. We had tons of fun kahit hindi ganung katagal kaming nagkasama. Hayy, I'll miss her. Siya, at ang pinakabunso nilang si Ami Shimizu. Tulog na tulog na siya ngayon, buhat-buhat siya ni Ayaka.

We reminisce ’bout old yells and cheers
Even if our last hurrahs were never clear

"Ate Joy, I'll miss you." Tumingin ako sa baba at nakita ko si Hana. Hawak-hawak niya ang kamay ng Ayaka-nee niya at halos paiyak na siya.
