Complicated

Chapter 78

Maggie's POV:
„Don't worry Shawnie." I chuckle, ruffling his soft hair once again. „Wait, what are we going to tell the others?" I add. Shawn looks up at me, placing a kiss on my nose.

„None of our friends would be behind the unknown number, so we are going to tell them the truth. They just have to play along." Shawn says sighing.

He nudges his nose against mine before pecking my lips a few times. „Why is everything so complicated?" I mumble. „Baby I promise everything is going to be okey. We'll find out who this sick person is and he's going to pay for what he did." Shawn says, smiling down at me.

I smile back, cupping his cheeks to pull his head down to me. He bites my lower lip, causing me to chuckle. Suddenly the door swings open. "Maggie! Shawn! What are you doing?" My little sister Melody squeals as she comes running into my room.

Shawn quickly get off of me, laying on his back besides on his elbows so he could look at her. "Umm...actually nothing sweetie." He replies, his cheeks slightly red. "Then you can do something with me! I'm bored." She says, climbing onto the bed.

Melly lies down between us, cuddling into Shawn's shoulder. It's honestly so cute how she adores Shawn. "What do you wanna do?" I ask, smiling at them. "Uhh..." she mumbles, thinking.

„Can we go to the park?" I shake my head at him. We can't go out. Someone could see us. "It's a bit late to go to the park don't you think? What about we bake muffins?" Shawn asks, grinning. Muffins. What else.

„Yesss!" she cheers, jumping on the bed, making me laugh. "Come on girls. I'll carry you downstairs. Melly hop onto my back." He says, standing in front of the bed so she could reach his shoulders. "Hold on tight okey? And now you." Shawn adds, walking towards me smiling.

„Shaaawn." I laugh but before I could protest he already  picked me up in his arms, heading towards the door with us. "Faster!" Melody shouts, giggling.

Shawn obeys and starts running down the stairs, causing me to wrap my arms tightly around his neck. "Shawn be careful!" I squeak as he stumbles through the door into the kitchen with us.   

"Don't worry. I would never let you fall." He smiles, giving me a quick kiss while putting me onto one of the kitchen stools. Melody sits beside me while Shawn gets all the ingredients we need.

„Shawn could you give me the flour?" I ask, mixing everything in a bowl while Melody sets up the little cups for the muffins. "Sure." He says with a slight smirk on his lips. "Shawn no." I warn, noticing the look in his eyes.

"What?" he asks, innocently and grabs the bag walking over to me. "I just want to give you the flour. Oh..." He gasps as he "accidentally" pours half of the flour bag over me.

„Shawn are you serious?" I groan, shaking as much flour as possible off me. The two of them just laugh at me. "You look hilarious. Let me help." Shawn chuckles, patting the it off me.

I quickly grab an eg off the counter to crack it on Shawn's head. The liquid runs down his face as he looks at me angrily, wiping it away.

MNow it's my turn to laugh and Melly seems very entertained aswell. "Now I want a kiss." Shawn states, coming closer to me again. "Forget it! Go wash your face." I laugh, crossing my arms but he grabs my face anyways.

„Ouch!" I wince, acting as if it hurt. He quickly pulls away, looking at me worried. "I'm sorry! Everything okey?" "Yes Shawn, I was just kidding." I chuckle. "Now you can clean this mess."

„Which one? That?" He asks, smash another egg on my head. "Shawn!"I grumble, wiping the egg off my face. "Idiot." I mumble, causing him to laugh. 

„I want to do that too!" Maggie says, grabbing an egg but I stop her. "If you throw it onto Shawn, you'll get most of the muffins." I whisper into her ear. She nods eagerly, starting to chase Shawn around the kitchen.

„Hey that's not fair!" he shouts running away from her. Chuckling, I put the muffins into the oven and clean the counter. "Maggieee! Shawn cracked the egg on my head! " she shouts, stopping in front of me with her small arms crossed.

„Don't worry you'll still get the muffins. Now lets clean you up." I say, making her smile brightly. After my aunt bathed my little sister and Shawn and I showered, we stand in front of the door since Shawn has to go home. 

"What about we don't go to school tomorrow, so I don't have to leave now?" he mumbles against my neck as we hug. "Shawn we already missed the classes on Monday." I sigh.

„I know...are you sure you'll be okey?" He questions, now looking into my eyes. "Yes I'm sure." I smile up to him, wrapping my arms around his neck. He leans down placing his plump lips on mine. 

„I hate that I won't be able to do that in school." He mumbles between kisses. I sigh, pecking his lips once again.

„Goodnight. I love you." "Goodnight hun. I love you too." He says and heads towards his car.
